I had a problem finding a replacement piece to cover the material removed, the cutout also gained an inspection port at the crack, everything looked in order, I used 3/16 plywood to replace the bad wood, coated it with resin, screwed the plywood to the aluminum frame, used .080 pre painted sign material on top of the plywood to replace the fibreglass ?? bevelded the edges and sealed the crack around with bondo fibreglass with fibre.sanded to finish and painted with bright white acrylic paint available at most auto stores.matched very well. If you have a crack here take care of it soon . Check the crack after hitching up and preferably after a rain and you may find water forced from the crack. I waited too long and brought on more problems. caulking just wont work on a 45 degree crack.
