Don't we call those "the good ol' days?" Sure does bring back some memories. Life was so much simpler then.... although retirement's pretty hard to beat!
Thanks for posting that.

Gotta admit, that's what we love about fulltiming. The RV park is a lot closer to the memories on the list than our old neighborhood was. As we drove through our old neighborhood, we'd fume about the uncut grass, trucks parked on the lawn and the small groups of kids who liked to dress like little gangstas and look tough (and this was a pretty good neighborhood!).
Just yesterday, we came home to a note on the trailer door. The park owners were reminding all of the long-term tennants about keeping the individual porch areas neat, escorting small children any time they were away from their individual RV slips and making sure that we all drive slowly in the park. We couldn't have been happier to see this, especially noting that none of the issues had gotten out of hand (only a few individual instances of each). Always glad to see a park owner or host keeping on top of these things so that we can all live in a comfortable, quiet and well maintained park!

Thanks, I needed that this morning. Nothing like forgetting about todays problems and reflecting back to those great memories, even if only for a few moments.

Ah Yes the good ol days. But, what's real scary is the 35 cent gas. I can remember paying 25 cents and for a buck we drove around all day.

And we, as teenagers, could walk a mile of highway and come up with enough pop bottles to cash in to pay for an evening's cruising. And then some.

sreigle, Oh yes I remember that. In fact was just discussing with some other mature guys at the golf course how I bought my first 2 wheel bike with the money I got for collecting newspapers and other magazines and taking them to the paper mill. I can remember that 47 chev's back seat just plum full. Used to take my Red Ryder wagon throughout the neighborhood collecting the papers and magazines. Still recycle everything I can and the cans now go to the grandkids. Just love those campgrounds that have recycle containers.
