Only thing we have dropped, (more than once) the container cap to the chemical we use. Small enough to pass during tank flush.

Sorry, I don't know the story but I'm wondering why you would peel potatoes over the toilet? Ha! Ha!

Keystone manufacturing is my problem. their "Master plumbers installed the 3" plastic pipe into the tank so that it was all the way through the fitting and within about 1" of the bottom of the tank. it plugs up quite often. Some day I will have to tckle the dirty job but I hate to and have been putting it off.

Some time ago I used a sprayer-type hose adapter to clean the toilet drain down toward the black tank. You attach a hose to it and the water pressure then spins the fitting at the hose end. This fast moving spinning water sprays the sides of the plumbing as you lower the sprayer downward. It works great to clean any buildup. The problem I had is that I had the sprayer for some time and so being really old, as I was cleaning the plumbing out, the rotating head fell off (corrosions, age, whatever).
Well, the long story is that I have filled, refilled and drained the black tank many times since and I don't have any idea if the broken part is still down there or if it has drained out the 3" drain plumbing. The big concern is that I do now use a macerator occassionally, and I can hardly wait to discover whatever happens if this part ever gets flushed out and ends up in contact with the macerator teeth. I'll let you all know when it happens.
As for the reason anyone would have dropped a potato peeler down there, I can imagine there are much better ways to trim body hair. And you should be peeling potatoes or what have you over a trash can.

Ok, here's the story a second time: We were boondocking and our galley tank was almost full so we dumped a dish pan full of soapy water we thought was empty down the toilet. As the last of the water flew out the potato peeler waved goodbye as it went down the hole.
