Blue LEDs under coaches
I've been seeing a lot of higher end motorhomes and 5'ers using blue LEDs under the rigs, and I really like the look it imparts.
has anyone retrofitted this to their Monty?

Mine aren't LED's, but I installed blue rope lights under the front half of the frame from about the front tires forward. I just used the plastic clips that come with them and screwed them into the frame. I ran a power wire to a switch on the cabinet just inside the entry door to be able to turn them on and off. It makes a pretty neat night light and looks way better than just stringing the rope lights on the ground..

I suppose next they will offer bounce kits like those that the younger generation use on their low riders???

Bingo ... when I turn the fog generators on at night to augment the rope lights, it makes us really stand out from others with the 5 gal bucket with their name on it placed over a 60 watt bulb. Ha!

I really think you should consider adding a strobe light for additional effects? Perhaps a couple of disco balls hanging at each end of the awning as well.

What you really need is a flashing neon "Colt 45" sign!

Mark N ... I just did a guys fiver today using blue LED's from Menards. We tried the adhesive squares that you can thread wire ties thru to hold the lights on the bottom of the frame (Utilitech 0292685). I cleaned the bottom of his frame really well and finished it off with alcohol ... they stuck very well. I'll check with him after a few months to see how they hold up. I tapped in to a receptacle near his entry door and installed a switch to easily turn them on and off inside.

Hey dieselguy- You can come up to Nebraska and put lights under my unit if you like! I like your idea of the switch on the inside to control the lights. Where did you put the switch in at?

Rondo ... I got a small lighted rocker type switch at Radio Shack. It snaps in a 1/2" hole similar to automotive type switches. I tapped into power under my counter top and installed the switch on the side of the cabinet to your left as you come in the entry door on my 3150. On the guys I did last week ... it was a Cedar Creek and we tapped into power near his main switch panel on his side aisle fiver. Same tye of switch.

Thank you sir! I'll see if I can get things set up on ours. I think the LED lights are kind of sharp under the counter and under the unit period. I still think you should make a visit to Nebraska and show me how it is done! You really need to come up and visit us anyway!
