Recommendations needed
I am planning a trip to the Niagara Falls, NY area in August. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good camp site there?

Southwoods RV in Byron, NY isn't that far away from the falls and the owners are great.

I stayed at the KOA on the Canadian side when we were there in '07. It was convenient and had a shuttle service to the falls. I think it was free if you stayed at the campground. The Canadian side appeared more developed at the time. There is an article in this months Trailer Life about Niagara Falls that may be worth checking out.

We stayed at Four Mile Creek State Park(NY). Large sites with some overlooking Lake Ontario. Minutes from Niagara Falls. Down side is they only have electric at the sites. They have water faucets along the campground road on the way in, where we topped off the tank. We only stayed three nights so it was ideal for us. Very reasonable price.

We took NCFischers' advice and stayed at Southwoods a couple of weeks ago. It's nice. Took us about 45 minutes to get to Niagara Falls.

We stayed at the 4 miile state park. Very nice. 15 min from the falls and your parking at the falls is free saving $10 a day. If you camp next to a water facuet if u put a T on it you can run a hose to yur rv. We only stayed 4 days and dumped on way out. We would definitely stay there again.

There are water and electric sites.
