Hitch recomendation.
Now that we have the new GMC, we are in the market for a new hitch as well. So, I pose the question to you all, which hitch (fifth wheel) do you have, and why do you like it? Previous truck had an older basic Reese 16K hitch, but it was older design so sold it with the truck. GM dealer sells and installs the Curt hitch, RV dealer has Pull Rite and Reese, but we are open to suggestions. Trailer model is 3725. Tongue weight is about 3500 pounds, trailer weight is around 14,000.

I have the Reese Elite and really like it. Had a Pullrite Super 5th in the previous truck and liked it also. Would have bought another Pullrite but they did not have one to fit the factory hitch prep at the time.

We have the Hensley BD3(Trailer Saver) on my 12 Silverado. We also have the 3725 and do not get any motion from the trailer with this hitch. I too had the Reese 15K older than yours that the BD3 replaced. They are pricey, but in my opinion, worth every penny.

Reese 16K slider. I like it and it has worked great. But then again it is the only hitch I have ever owned.

F250 Crew Cab, 4 door, 4 x 4, short bed. Pulling a 3580RL Big Sky.
Hitch: B & W in bed turn over ball -- B & W Companion Hitch.
When I remove the Companion Hitch from the truck bed there are no rails or anything else inthe bed. The truck has the short bed and I do not need a slider hitch as the Big Sky has the rounded nose and i can make sharp turns while pulling or backing and not worry about hitting the back of the cab.

Curt 24K. Have only had for a month, but very happy with it. Replaced a 16K Reese.

Pull Rite 18k OE Series. I had a super glide in the last truck and liked it but didn't need a slider with the long bed. Has worked well.

I called spoke with Hensley Rep this morning. I was thinking TS3 but he talked me out of it stating for the heaviest Montana made, all that is needed is the BD3. So, I went ahead and ordered it and will be replacing my Curt 20K. I am trying to rid some of the frame shock and bounce.

My new Hensley BD3 Trailer Saver arrived this morning. More compact than my Curt 20K and lighter. Installed quickly.
Just ordered a Blue Ox Bedsaver attachment for it. It should arrive on Monday.
Did some practice hitching/unhitching. I bit different from the Curt. Have 4 successful cycles, we feel comfortable with the process.
Now to install a Blue Ox.

Any of the brands discussed are great hitches. Check the features and capacities of each and go from there. If you have a short bed then I would go with the superglide.

I had a bedsaver on my old Reese 15K. When I got the BD3, the bedsaver was not available for it. I was concerned about that when I purchased the BD3. After using the new hitch for some time now, I do not have the same concern as the hitch is very positive. But as we all know, I can get distracted, and not check the hitch for positive lock. I rather not have any damage to trailer or truck.
Do you have the model number for the bedsaver that fits the BD3 and maybe a link? Thanks, Jay

After research, I recently purchased the Trailer Saver (Hensley), BD3. The few times, I've pulled, I have really, really enjoyed the ride.
I'd strongly suggest checking it out.
