Fresh water leak
I have a leak in my fresh water system but can't quite figure out where it would be. When I'm attached to park water I have water leaking out of the belly of the trailer. When I turn off the park water and run my pump I don't have a leak even though the pump is left on. I would have thought that the pump pressurizes the lines and I should still have a leak. Not quite sure what's going on. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks Michael

I just had nearly the same problem after getting to Destin Fl from Mo. Could not find it anywhere Came on down to our winter site and still leaking I pulled the cover off of the convenience center and found my leak coming out of a fitting from my fresh water hook up connection re-tightened and no more problems I had ran off the pump as well to prevent the the leak prior to finding it
might check this. Good luck

That was going to be my suggestion. Since it doesn't leak, or make the pump keep pumping then it probably is not a leak in a water line or underbelly fitting.
When I removed the wall covering my convenience center I was shocked at how many fittings I had to tighten. I think Lack Of HP is correct.

Add me to the back of covienence center crowd. A leak in that area would cause what you describe.

I had the same leak on our rig and all that the dealer did was put an extra washer in the fresh water hookup. No more leak! Color me surprised when I found that out. I do have a feeling it could be the connection needing tightening and the second washer tightened it up. Going to check it out when I get to AZ next month to see if it could be loose behind the wall on the convenient center too.

Seems to me that if you have to add a second washer, the connection is made wrong, too long of a spout end. More quality control issues. Wonder if they asked the vendor to make them correctly on the new ones..
Mamestra, Hope the suggestions solved the leak mystery, sounds like you are getting good feedback.

I had a leak at the rear of the city water connection behind the panel early on.

Agree with Ozz, although the washer in the fitting could have become too compressed to tighten the whole thing up. I've had this happen on garden hose connections occasionally.

The convenience center seems like the right fit, will pull the panel off and have a look today. Thanks for all the great advice. Michael

I had a leak behind the convenience panel, a new cone washer fixed it and I had to put a 2nd hose washer in the fresh water and black tank fitting to get them to quit dripping.

When I removed the access panel I found the connection running from the city water attachment was loose and that's what was causing the leak. Thank you all for the great advice.

I'll just add that if you can find an 'O' ring that will fit they are far better than the flat washers. usually a 1/8" cross section is the one. Sorry, I don't have the size right now.

This evening I repaced mine. Cheap cheap plastic flange. Replaced with a good brass one for $20.00. Fit perfect. JR. Products part number 160 85 A 26 A.
