RV Golf Club
Any reports on how this actually works for dry camping for a night instead of Wal-Mart?

When checking out boon-docking I found an alternative to Wal-Mart parking lots for an overnight stay. Since there are now many cities and parking lots that ban overnight parking I thought this might be an alternative, for $45 a year you can park overnight at many golf courses and don't have to golf. I was wondering if someone here had tried this alternative when travelling place to place.

Link to said RV Golf Club???
Like Wal-Mart, they probably figure that most folks who use their parking lot will drop a little dough at their establishment for the convenience of having a place to boondock overnight.
I know that when we "camp" at Wal-Mart, we do some shopping in their store, sometimes spending quite a bit for stuff we would have to get anyway, as a time saver and thank you to them for allowing us to stay.

Thanks for the info. Now I get it. Don't forget Home Depot and Lowes.

I'm seeing a up front disadvantage to your research ... Wally World or big chain stores are usually right off the highway ... a golf course could be anywhere in town.

Maybe the OP is referring to "Harvest Host"?

I wouldn't think a golf course would want squatters in big RV's in their parking lot. Just my .02 worth.

I stop in church parking lots along US routes at times, I always try to ask the parson if it's ok. I had a few provide 110 volt outlet so I could make coffee

Thanks for the info. I looked at the list. Lots of GC's. I own a home on the Pueblo West course and I know their parking lot at the club house is difficult to drive a car in. Maybe they are allowing parking somewhere near by.

Most likely, any golf course that lets "RV Golf Club" members stay over night would let any RVer stay as well. I kind of doubt that the golf course staff goes around looking for a "RV Golf Club" sticker on the RV and boots out anyone that doesn't have one.

Close highway access is an advantage, ...but so is a quiet, full nights sleep. A pretty good trade-off for maybe an extra 10 minutes of drive time. Sometimes the Wal-Mart parking lots are pretty active all night long, with very noisey sweeper trucks cleaning the lot, landscapers with their weed-whackers & backpack blowers at 06:00(even earlier or very late at night), kids drinking and hootin' & hollerin', etc., .....trust me, I have seen (been awakened by) them all.
