Put shutoffs on sinks and toilet supplies
Used shark bite shutoff valves from SeaTech. Make one cut, push the tubing hard in each end and voila you have a shutoff valve. Easiest mod I've ever done. I took some pictures, but for right now I can't get on Photobucket and I've never been able to size and post pictures direct so I'll have some pictures whenever I can figure out a way to post them.

Another brand of fittings and valves you can use is "Flair It" purchase in most RV Catalogs or Hardware stores including the Big Boy's. Make a plummer
out of all of us

Here's the pictures. Not a "Flair it" type, these are "shark bite" type. Just cut the type and jam the ends in each side. No need to tighten anything. Here's the pictures: http://s1221.photobucket.com/user/DQ...?sort=9&page=1

Dang Dick, you have to come up with more and more things for the "Honey Do" jobs. I'll never get to go out with the unit because I'll be busy putting all of the mods on it!

Careful, like us, you'll add too many mods to even look at a new one. No way do i want to do all I've done these last couple of years again.

Dick, can I park next to you at a rally? Just in case you get restless, and feel the need to duplicate similar projects on my trailer!

Sure, but I'll never be able to match John Kohl for helping others.

Mine are 1/2", I believe. It's pretty much standard for RV's. I tried Ozz's site first and he didn't have them yet so I went with Al's RV in Yuma and they have a full selection of fittings in stock as well as a really good tube cutter. It's what they use for repairs. They took the time to show me how they work and how to install them. They can also be easily removed. If you force the coupling back into the fitting the tube will pull back out. Easy Peezy. The red and blue was a good idea that came to them a year or two after they made our rig.

I'm pretty sure you can get them at any Lowes or Home Depot.

Your right Tom. Where I'm at Al's was much closer and I was already buying the pump there. Pex compression fittings is what folks should look for. Here's the Lowes version: http://www.lowes.com/pd_68122-61002-...ngs&facetInfo=

Those Shark bite fittings are so easy to use. Whoever invented them is a genius. I had a tight challenge in a bathroom remodel in my house, and those solved the problem beautifully. And, like you said, they can easily be taken apart when needed. Nice mod! Might be on my list too.

Okay, I've never worked on PEX plumbing and have no idea where to start. Can one of you experts recommend some training references? Maybe a good manufacturers' web video??

Thanks Dick for the info, will go to Lowe's and if my counting is correct we need a total of five, two for kitchen sink, two for bath sink, and one for commode line.

Dick - you've got the same year & model we have, but we don't have a shelf under the BR sink and there's a few other odds & ends different. Different crews, or made a week or two apart? Go figure . .

It was a different crew. I added four selves all together in the closets and under the sink

Here's what you are looking for. The first type of fitting is what's on your rig now. The last type is what I used for my mods.

Thanks for the link. After I saw that video, I googled Seatech and found what looks like a SeaTech, Inc training video with a lot more basis information that will be useful for a plumbing newbee like me. Here's the link
