I need to replace my hitch and am considering an air hitch. I would appreciate any info. About this subject I can get.

We switched to the Hensley Trailer Saver (BD3) and love it. After 7 years towing with a conventional hitch it was easy to feel the difference. Almost forget we're towing that much weight behind us!!!!

We have a 5th Airborne, it really helps the ride.

Thanks for the reply. I am leaning forwards the trailer saver bd3. May go to the 20 k one though. The airsafe hitch looks good also but I like the 30 unconditional guarantee with free shipping that trailer saver offers.
I have a 2010 dodge 3500 srw with air bags pulling a 3615re montana with a trail air tri glide pin box plus air center points. I am hoping this will get rid of the severe chucking and bouncing that I get.

We will be doing the same thing this Spring, but I am leaning towards the Air Safe system. Probably about like trucks, they will all do the job well. Be sure to report back with the end results.

I am in the process of buying a air ride king pin for my Mountaineer
I was wondering if it will raise the 5th wheeler?

Pentagon,
I am not the expert here but I would believe that pin boxes air or not are adjustable up and down.
I don't think they will raise the height of the overall trailer though. The pin box can be adjusted to allow the trailer to be level towing.

My 5th Airborne pin box did raise the front of the trailer. On my previous truck I was able to lower the Pullrite Super 5th hitch by two bolt holes to account for the difference. But the Reese Elite hitch on the new truck does not have that adjustability so the Monte rides a little nose high. Not enough to be a problem though.

I believe you'll be very satisfied with the TrailerSaver hitch. It's pricey but we've had ours since September 2003 and it has given us a highly satisfactory ride, not to mention the stress it has removed from the structure of the rig when traveling on very rough highways.
