OK, dummy here. We have a 3400RL and for the life of me, I can't find the 3rd dump valve for the second gray water tank. Our bedroom sink is backing up. Help please................

Most kitchen grey water valve dump handles are either in-between the street side tires or right behind them. If your bathroom sink is not draining ... you have other problems besides not being able to find the galley tank dump handle ... unless you have the main dump capped and both grey tank valves already open. Even then I'd think your kitchen sink wouldn't drain either. The two main dump handles are side by side in the convenience center or in an older model ... inside the street side storage doors.

It sounds like you have a drain problem with your sink. In our 2011 3400, there is one grey water tank for the shower and bathroom sink. If your tank was full there would also be water backing up in your shower too. Sounds like the problem is within your pipe.

It's as dieselguy said. On our older (2007) 3400RL it's between the wheels, kind of high up. On our prior Montana, a 3295RK, it was behind the rear wheels. It's reachable when the slides are extended, between the kitchen and entertainment slides. Careful when you pull and push that handle. It's easy to put pressure other than straight in because of the awkward angle to reach it. Do that often and eventually the rod will bend and eventually break. Been there.

Sorry, my mistake it's the kitchen sink. I dumped black & gray yesterday, got back to campsite & #2 tank is still full. Today the KTN sink is backing up.

Considering the problems people have with this you would think Keystone would mark it and put a note in the convenience center reminding folks to empty it. Probably something we should bring up at the fall Rally.

Captastjoe, you are not the first to come here with this problem. I'd guess that in the more than 10 years this forum has existed, the number asking for help with this is easily in triple digits. Glad to hear you found it. Dealers just don't seem to have a clue about this and don't tell new owners.

Thankfully, our dealer pointed it out to us, in the frame just ahead of the wheels, on our initial checkout. Some are better than others, as you all know. But I'm just as sure he missed something else...

Our PDI guy showed it to us. There's also a small label on the outside skin. But being in between the middle kitchen slide and the rear living room slide I'm glad it was pointed out to us.
It's amazing how many people aren't shown or don't know and have to ask. This a common problem so it was a smart question.

Mine is in the same place as yours. Seems like a pretty stupid location to me. It's easy enough to get to with the slides closed, but with the slides extended it's a pia. It should either be electric or relocated.

The dealer (Camping World) did not tell us about this valve either on our 2011 3400 RL, I just happened to do an under carriage inspection with my creepy crawler and ran into this valve and wondered what it was, at first try to pull it was hard to pull it seemed to be stuck but finally it gave away. I need to use this tank as we have owned this Montana since October 2019 and have not used it yet. I hope all is well with the valve. It is in front of the starboard side (driver side) front wheel thru the frame. I plan on placing a reminder on the other valves and labeling it underneath.

That should be your Galley dump, the other Gray would be your Bathroom sink and shower.

for reference
on the Montana's; you'll have a separate dump value for each of the tanks having fill monitors in your panel
so if you have 3 monitored tanks and a fresh water you'll have 3 dump values and a low point drain for the fresh

As Michelle and Anne stated, there is a dump valve for the galley(kitchen) sink and one for the bathroom sink and shower combination. The galley gray water tank if pretty well below the kitchen sink in the frame and the bathroom/shower gray tank is basically along side the black tank (where your toilet dumps into) and both the shower water and the bathroom sink/s empty into the second gray tank. Just be careful not to overfill any of the tanks since they are hung on the frame by small edging where the top and bottom of the two pieces are plastic welded and glued together.

Not all bathroom sinks go to the gray tank. mine goes into the black tank and I have read other people with the same setup. Also, my understanding is the tanks for the last year or 2 are one piece, so they won't split in half anymore.
