Pros & Cons front living room
We're ready to replace our Montana 5th wheel. Any comments about the front living room (3750)? Ours is 2005 3475 RE which we've been very happy to own. We like the 3625REPatriots setup with the entertainment system in the back, but haven't ruled out the front living room but recliners are a must. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Unless the design of the front cable slides have changed, the recliners could present a problem. We have the double couches (we love them), but at least on ours the couches are sitting on a raised platform (about 4-6 inches) at the bottom of each of the front slides. There has been mention of recliners in this model on the forum in the past, but I have yet to actually see or hear of anyone that did it. I understand the newer model 3750's have some other changes, but we are extremely happy with ours. A layout that actually allows twelve people to be seated within the same general area tends to permit a lot of conversation. The other thing we really like about this model, is the bathroom is accessible when traveling as is the dinette and the fridge (all of this without extending a slide). The tradeoff for this is the bedroom is not accessible unless at least one of the rear slides is extended. Best of luck with your decision.

You really have to picture yourself actually using it to make a decision and all of us are different. I tend to flop down in chairs and not remember to duck. That killed front living rooms for us. In the time we were shopping for rigs I hit my head twice while talking and sitting at the same time. Still can happen when getting into bed, but not as likely. Most other folks probably don't have that problem.

We have a 3750FL and we love it. The living room is very comfortable and nice to have it just a living room. Dick is right about the slides, but I'm 6'2", and I've adapted to carefully sitting down in the slideout.
The other thing besides the living room is the huge bathroom (compared especially to a side aisle bath)-plenty of room around the throne for big guys - and the huge bedroom. There is plenty of room at the foot of the bed to actually get dressed. And, with a king bed we can still get around it enough to make the bed.
We are very happy with our front living room.

Good point Jimmy. One plus of the front living room means you have a back bedroom. To me it's a lot quieter late at night/early in the morning if you have a perimeter site location because the bedroom is a little farther back from the road and the idling rigs.

The front living room model is a great model. I think it comes to what each RV'er prefers or likes. Good Luck on your decision.

Our first Montana was a front living room. Enjoyed it very much.

We enjoy the FL. I am 6'4" tall and weigh....let's just say a lot...and I have yet to hit my head. I like the room upfront, but I really like getting a shower or getting dressed without my head resting on the ceiling or hitting a door threshold. I like taking a shower without my head in the skylight. The kitchen is big; however, some of the cupboards are really high for my 5' DW. Best coach we have had and even better than the two MH's we have owned.
Good luck...

Yep, the shower is a huge bonus with no headroom issues. I just wish it was a little wider, because if you are tall, you still can't bend over to get the legs...
