I think, at the Rally, they said they were a new product for them.

Line mechanics always smile when they hear a manufacturer's description of a new product when the words "never" and "fail" are in the same sentence.

I have never heard of any bushing that does not wear. Isn't that the definition of bushing, that it takes the stress and will wear out before the more important part it's trying to protect? I can imagine they might wear slower and that might limit failures, but it should take no time to determine how they are doing, but someone else will need to try this experiment.
Get these bushings, take measurements, install them and drive the rig quite often. Then check them in about six months (or right before the warranty date, if any) and take measurements to ensure they are exactly the same. If they are, then they just might be okay. Then do this all over again after another time interval.

I have actually laughed out loud over that, as I'm sure you have--never and fail--:-)

I looked into this some more and the material they use is pretty hearty so just might be a suitable alternative to wet bolts (even though 'never fail' still sounds like quite the promise). The real point is why can't the axle manufacturers or whomever provides this part of the suspension put these in at the factory? Is this another example of the short-sidedness of RV manufacturers who try to cut costs and put it on the inconvenience and wallets of their customers? I can see them doing this on some things, but this one should be taken care of at the factory.

The manufacturers have not been using these because they are a new product. Not only that, the nylon bushings meet the needs of the majority of the trailer owners

If they never fail, then Keystone dealers would never have to replace them. This, of course, would mean lower revenues for them.

. never replace brass bushing. i replaced the plastic bushing in 09 with the brass bushing and wet bolts. i greased the bolts in may and traveled about 7500 miles this summer. getting ready for Florida and what a shocker i got. the right rear spring was resting against the top of the spring hanger. the bolt was missing and there was not much of the brass bushing left. the bolts did take grease in may. the [img][/img]tire looks okay. i was lucky to find this before we hit the road next Sunday. i tried to send pictures but gave up.
what would cause the bolt to come out..
07 3295rk trail air hitch, 5500 kW generator, disc brakes.
thanks

Paddler, maybe that is why they came out with the Plastic bushing...
Has anyone else checked their wet bolt bushings after 9,000 12,000 miles? I think I only have around 4500 miles on mine, they are OK.
Who was the first to install theirs? Steve Regal maybe?
Send me a link to your Photiobucket, or Picasa pictures, if you don't have that, try downloading your pictures to either of those two sites.
Yopper, I think Lippert showed one of those bushings in their ad after quite a few miles. I would think they would be OK.

Here is a picture after 100K miles, BUT, getting this picture from the Lippert folks is like asking the Fox to invetory the chicken coop...
The accounting may vary...

As I have not yet changed to the wet bolt system and have read quite a bit on the Never Fail I will be purchasing the Never Fail Kit and trying them. Never Fail is false leading as there is nothing in this world that is never fail. But if I get a 100,000 miles or even close to that I will be happy!! You can get just the bushings or you can get the kit. If I remember right the kit includes all the bushing, new shackles, and bolts. I also believe the shackles are a bit stronger than stock. I will ge the kit.

These Never Fail Bushings sound like a good idea but has anyone installed them on a suspension system with the Mor-Ryde configuration? If so, would appreciate more info on the 'how to' in terms of how many and which bushings per side were replaced. I have a 2007 3400 RL. Thanks, B

I'm going to use the Never Fail bushings with my Wet Bolts and throw in some plastic bushings just to be safe. A million years from now, archaeologists digging up the remains of my Monte will be amazed at how advanced our civilization was.

Addressing the nut, it must have been defective, or the thread failed when the whole assembly failed

We have a 2017 3731FL Montana 5th wheel with about 15000 miles on it. Noticed tire wear on right rear. After checking it out thoroughly, all spring bushings completely worn out. Totally worn out even though I personally greased the wet bolts religiously. Has anyone else had this experience and if so, what have you done about it? I'm thinking of going with the "Never Fail, Never Wear Out" Lippert bushings. Any suggestions or experiences with this setup? Advice is appreciated. thanks in advance!

jolly3315 ... you might start another thread on this as the one you just resurrected is 8 years old. Yes some of us have worn thru the brass/bronze wet bolt bushings over time and yes, the "never fail" bushings wear thru to the shackle bolts as well even with greasing them. It just takes a bit longer. Shackle bolts and bushings are a normal wear item. You can't help from getting road grit in them at some point accelerating wear.
