Cable TV Woes New Monty
Will post an overview of our purchase, PDI and first few days this weekend, but tonight we are at our first RV park with cable. I cannot get the TV off of broadcast antenna reception and onto cable. I turned off the booster in the bedroom but still no signal from the cable. i have read every manual and looked everywhere and tried EVERY button combo on the Sony Bravia remote. Any ideas?? Apreciate it if anyone can lend a thought or two here.
Cheers!

On your TV remote hit menu, down arrow three times to "channel" right arrow to right side of screen, down arrow once to signal, hit confirm on your remote and it will give you a drop down selection, down arrow to cable and hit confirm. At least that is how the menu works on my 3 year old Bravia. Good luck, Jim

X2 on the above. Also if you've used it with Satellite TV you will need to switch the little jumper cable back, but if you're watching local TV that's not the problem.

Our cable /satellite connections in the convenience center are either labeled wrong or the wiring is wrong. Could not get any cable and had to connect to the Satellite connector to make it work.

Robert and Kerri,
Sorry to hear of yet another person who has trouble with the cabling situation in the new Monties. One thing that does work and work well for us has been the cable TV connection. It works well in both the living room and bedroom. Still no joy with the satellite connection but at least the over the air and cable works!
Make sure you've selected the proper 'source' for your connection. I sometimes get ahead of myself and forget to do that step. It is quickly corrected! Good luck and let us know what you do to get it to work correctly. Dennis and Mary Kay

Assuming that the "satellite" connector in the convenience center is wired correctly, can I connect my satellite there and then connect my satellite receiver to the connection in the living room or do I have to connect the satellite directly to the receiver?

OK... Got it to work. Pressed menu, then down arrow 4 times to Settings, Enter to get to next screen, down arrow 3 times to Channel, right arrow to right hand of screen to Signal type, enter to select it, then choose cable. Came right on. I have the Sony Bravia in a new 3582RK Big Sky. Hope this helps others. Thanks all for getting me on the right track!!

We gave up. A pox on the internal wiring. We went through the side of the slide direct into the entertainmnet center and through the propane compartment to the front bedroom.Don't know why Keystone does not do it that way..it is cheaper and easier.

Sure hope you and the Service Center get everything ironed out with you rig.

On mine the wiring is just like in the diagram that was posted here a while back except that they seem to have reversed the connections in the convenience center.

Considering our experience with them last year I'd have to say that's the truth. Too bad the Service Center guys don't build them in the first place.

Maybe after they come off the assembly line they should go to the Service Center for a shake down before shipment to the Dealers.
