NC Mountian Campgrounds
This is one of the few sites that I would trust open opinions such as good destination campgrounds, this and Irv2 dot com. I subscribe and contribute to RV Parks dot Com so I am familiar with the opinions posted there.
I’m looking for a park in North Carolina for a long summer stay such as May – October. Full hook ups only including 50 amp. Not a Mobile Home park with a few RV pads. Thinking of Hendersonville, Ashville, Waynesville, areas or others in the western part in the mountains. Anyone have any experience in these areas and could recommend a park.

We enjoy Pride Resort near Waynesville. A good central location near Maggie Valley, Cherokee, Ashville, Great Smokie National Park, and Blue Ridge Pkwy. Nice park on mountain stream. IMHO Larry

And right next door to the Pride Resort is the Creekwood Farm RV Park. We have stayed there a couple of times and were well pleased.

Also, a bit up the road toward Cherokee is the Holly Cove Campground. We have also stayed there and enjoyed it.

Lots of other campgrounds in the area, but these are the ones we have stayed in.
We enjoy the Jarrett House in Dillsboro for family style meals.

We are also looking since our daughter/grandson are in Asheville. So far we have discovered they are very proud of the campgrounds, over $1000 a month during peak. Makes Colorado prices sweet.

Back in the beginning of July, we were in Pride Resort, and Sailor was next door in Creekwood. We went over to visit him and after looking around Creekwood, we thought it was nicer than Pride Resort. Although Pride has a all you can eat breakfast everyday(except Sundays) for $5.99 including coffee. )

Of coarse creekwood is nicer than Pride but you pay for what you get toooo. If on the waynesville side of Asheville we will always stay at creek wood but now we are looking for the east side of Asheville about out 30 to 50 miles in the marion or burnahm area but still looking

We are just on our way home from that area and found a great campground just over the NC/GA border on the GA side... I think it is called River Side or something River in Dillard, GA.. We drove in and liked what we saw. It is close to so many things in GA. NC and SC... Awesome area.
