Sailun S637 tires?
Does anyone have knowledge or direct experience with Sailun tires? They are a relatively new Chinese company (might be a bad start?), and although their G-rated tires are not cheap, they are certainly less than comparable G614s.

It's interesting. I wasn't aware that they make trailer tires, but they've gotten good reviews on their passenger car tires and particularly their performance tires. The only problem I would have is they have little or no history to tell what happens over time. Performing well on the test track may or may not be an indication of how they will perform over time. That said, they are lower priced.

I have no experience with Sailun tires, but I do have experience with Chinese RV tires...and don't want any more experience with them.

I posted about 4 months ago about this very tire. I have rental trucks and asked my tire supplier about his recommendation for trailer tires for my Monty to replace the Marathon's. He told me he supplies this tire to the shed transporters who really abuse them by neglecting to check air pressure and constantly overload them. He says they really perform and are a really good tire. I have installed them on my Monty and am very pleased. I have not needed to put any air in them in the 4 months I have them. I also have TST internal sensors in them and on a 95 degree day running 65 mph the temp of the tire only gets to 135 degrees and the pressure climbs from 10 to 15 lbs.
I installed them myself in our shop and I can tell you the sidewalls are like steel with virtually no flex at all. The trailer rides very smooth and tracks very good. They were half the price of the Goodyear G's.

Just checked the DOT site and there have been no recalls to date for Sailun tires.
Thanks for all of the input! I've decided to give the Sailuns a try after I receive new rims.

Between you and I we can track the performance of this tire for the forum. A good alternative is always great to know of. Not everyone wants to plunk down $2 grand on tires, mounting, and taxes. Go through your house I'm sure not everything in it is made in the USA.

The recall was for certain S825 model. Definitely Sailun. If not the model you use, it's use is certainly up to you.

Just an FYI: Dynamic Tire Corporation is the Manufacturer out of Canada, with Engineering in Canada and China. Per their site they have been in business since 1997 and produce a series of brands.

Thanks for the link, but I'm not sure that a recall of only 44 commercial tires over a period of 15 manufacturing years is significant factor in the decision making process.

Maybe it isn't. Only you can make that decision for your family and rig.
