Craft Classes
Ladies (gents please pass this on to your ladies),
Polly has volunteered to teach several craft classes during the rally. These classes will be scheduled based on interest and meeting place availability. Possible classes include:
Snowman earrings
Angel earrings
Beaded earrings
Paper bead earrings
Quilled paper earrings
Pop-top earrings
Stitched angel pin/ornament
Marbled polymer clay pens
Mini legal pad folder
Embroidery on CD or cardstock
Post-it note covers
Scrapbooking
Journal/diary
Let us know which class(es) you would like to take. THIS I A MUST for many of the classes as we will need to pre-order supplies. There will be a supply fee ($5 or less) for most of them. Photos of samples of most of the crafts can be viewed at http://www.dropbox.com/gallery/31081...mples?h=f34d98, more will be coming over the next week or so.
Polly is also willing to teach basic knitting or a granny square crotchet lap robe to a SMALL group. (You provide supplies)

Thanks for offering so many interesting things! Do you have any photos of some of these so we could make better choices?

Hey, Polly. I have finally gotten the basic knit and purl down. Now if you could show me how to make something other that the long straight things that I have been calling scarves, I would appreciate. Everyone in my family has gotten scarves and jewelry for gifts. I think they would like something else. Thanks.

Pat,
Polly says "Good Girl!". She will be happy to sit down with you and teach you any of a number of easy projects, including washcloths (face or dish), a hanging dish towel, or even "The World's Easiest Sweater" which really is very easy.

I would love to learn how to knit or crochet...will you let us know what we need to bring if you decide to teach a class?

Patty,
Polly will be happy to sit down one on one with you if there isn't enough interest to run a class. Bring one skein of 100% cotton yarn, either Peaches and Cream or Sugar and Cream, and size 7 or 8 needles. You can get all at most Walmarts, A C Moore, Michael's, Joanns Fabrics and other places.
See you there.

I really like the beaded earrings especially the ones with the lever backs! If you get a class going on those I would diffently be interested!

We need to to soonest which craft classes you are interested in, so Polly can put together the supplies.
Thanks.

Polly, don't be discouraged because mostly guys do the forum you will get way more gals who want to do things at Rally. My advise to you is pick 2 items to teach. Bring or have a local craft store in mind to get more supplies and just teach those two things. My two cents worth. I only do stuff on the forum when Rally is getting close, just too many irons in the fire I guess. See you soon!
