Add-a-Room Question
We're considering utilizing a Carefree of Colorado Add-a-room next season for our 2008 Big Sky. I plan to securely fasten the electric awing before adding the room since we occasionally get strong winds here in AZ.
Have any MOC members tried one of these and, if so, what problems did you encounter?

We had one and rarely used it. Alot of work. We gave it away. We have opted for the EZ-up gazebo with walls and screens. If the wind gets it we're out $150.00. No troubles so far. It is very nice to touch the button and not worry about awning. Larry

Agree with HOOK. We don't like not being able to secure our awning by rolling it up and we, too, have an EZ-up gazebo.

Times 3 ... Winds in Kansas will peel off an awning no matter how you have it tied down. EZ up here as well.

I've seen these on rigs that don't move very often. By the time the owners are done securing it with the biggest array of straps, stakes and what-nots to keep it solid, it's not something I can imagine that's moved very often. They do look like they get beat up by weather. And I've seen some that look like they store the extra fridge, freezer, and so much other stuff it's like a solid room addition (or a hoarder's dream).
The ones that look like the most successful are well sealed and staked down VERY well.

I refuse to haul around stuff that I used to sleep in because that was all we could afford when we started out on this 44 plus years adventure.

Thanks for all of the input! If we do anything at this point it will be a canopy like everyone suggested.
