Colorado Springs in the winter.
I will be taking a 1 year contract job in Colorado Springs and thinking I will just stay in my Mountaineer. Any suggestions for a long term campground? How harsh will the Winter be living in my 5th wheel? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Might be a little chilly for you. Most of the year is fairly mild, but they do get snow, and in January and February it can get below zero, but it doesn't stay that way too long. Even with the winter package, you run the risk of freezing water lines, etc. Be prepared to buy a lot of propane. I live in Denver, and I don't know that I'd try it.

It might be a challenge. It can get below zero (but not for long) and we do get some snow although not a lot except for the occasional storm. The snow doesn't stick around for more than a couple of days. I don't know of any campground around the city that operates through the winter. A big challenge would be to keep your pipes from freezing. You'd definitely want full hook ups. Personally, I wouldn't do it unless I had no other choice. Good luck to you!

You can't beat /www.mountaindalecampground.com/ Been working here since May 1 and have 1 week left. Good enough that we will be back to work here next May. Campground is open all year and about 12 or so permanent campers or folks on work assignment.

Thanks for the tip! Now I know a year round RV park near Colorado Springs! We may just drive there to check it out.
