Baldwin County, Alabama?
Looking to spend a week in Baldwin County, Alabama, next month (Bay Minette, Fairhope, Foley, wherever).
Does anyone have any recommendations for campgrounds? The closer to Fairhope the better, but it's a small county!
PLEASE do not reply using MOC e-mail as Hotmail is still refusing to accept e-mails from the MOC! If you want to reply by e-mail please do so directly to doofus1969@hotmail.com
Thank you!

Baldwin county, twas my understanding, is one of, if NOT, the largest counties in Alabama. (You just pulling our legs right, with that statement? )
Check the ratings in Woodalls or Trailer Life, several of the campgrounds in Foley are quite nice. Names escape me at the moment. Pick one with the higher ratings, call ahead.

Lots of good places in the area you are looking at. Check Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores. Our local group was looking at that area for a weekender and found most were full of YANKEE'S down for the winter.

Have stayed at Anchors Aweigh in Foley and highly recommend. The problem with that CG is it is too close to Lamberts. I gain weight just driving by Lamberts.

Carol,
You're right! I remember driving I-65 through the county. Twenty-five miles or so.... seemed small to me!
Don't tell Mike I'm one of those Yankees headed south...

I'm not from the south but I got here as fast as I could. Fifty years a Yankee (bless their little hearts), 16 years in the south.

If you belong to Escapees, there is a wonderful Escapee park in Foley. I also have good friends that stay in Fairhope long term... I will send you a pm you as soon as I get the name of the park.
