Small Oak Folding Table
Have been looking for a small (probably smaller than a tv tray) oak folding table to use for many things in the rv. Anyone have any suggestions where we might find one? Have tried Walmart, Target, etc. Can find small oak tables but none of them are folding and we thought a folding one could go behind the couch while traveling and stay out of the way and not fly around on bouncy roads. Sure hope some of you had ideas or have seen them in stores.

Bailey Bears;
The only ones I have seen are a set of 4 that are actually snack trays or commonly TV trays. Wal-mart should have them. I haven't seen anywhere a single tray is sold. You may have to look at garage sales, etc. The only single folding are the vinyl/plastic that are sold separately. My dad made one out of oak veneer plywood and glued an oak edging around the plywood before finishing it. It was rather heavy when completed. Of course this was over 10 years ago and still using it.

I was wanting the same thing because the table beside our recliners is back so far that I can't easily lay something on it. What I came up with for now is a folding bed tray. I can use it on my lap in my chair, in bed, or sit it on the floor between the chairs. It isn't very high off of the floor but is in easy reach for the remotes, a soda, etc.

Go and get one of those little white plastic folding tables that camping world sells, take the top off go purchase a peice of 5 quarter red oak make your top, and then connect it to the legs of the plastic table, or use the whole table and legs as a template and make it out of aok.

We have just what your looking for. It is a wood drop leaf table that my wife found in Home Trend Mag, 1-800-810-2340, or www.shophometrends.com. It is found on page 52 consisting of a drop leaf table 24 x 17 x 18 " When the drop leafs are down it is only 8 inches across the top. The color is lite oak simular to the one that came with the Montana. Ours is used (folded) on the end of the sofa, then moved to the center when traveling. My wife uses it for puzzles while were parked.

Hello Jerry and Nancy,
We found a small oval oak looking table at WalMart. It is NOT folding. We just put it on the couch when we travel. Have not seem them stocked at WalMart since we got it but you know how that goes. It fits perfectly between the big chair and the sofa when in use. The finish matches the trailer interior almost perfectly.

We saw a small one at some place & got the idea from it. I went to Lowe's & got a piece of oak plywood 24 x 24 cut it in half & got 2 1x3 oak x 24 mounted to the back of the 2 plywood pieces 1 top & 1 bottom got some 3/4 in oak trim & put aroune the edges we now have a 12 x 24 in table that will fit under the sofa in transit. You can pull it up to your chair for lap top or sewing machine plus we use it to set the bird cage on.

Thanks for all the input. I am probably going to order the one from shophometrends.com. It looks just like what I have been searching for and will fit between the couch and dining room chairs while traveling. I knew I could count on the many Montana owners to come up with a solution!

Will it fit behind the couch? Our couch is flush with the wall and won't move so we could never put anything behind it.

I found a light wood TV table that folds at Rite Aid. I have seen them in other drug stores too. It cost $9.99. Folds up and we put it behind our couch. Before with our motor home it slipped under the couch.
