Denver, Colorado RV Parks?
Does anyone have any suggestions for a campground in the area? Hope to attend our granddaughters softball tournament the last week of the month.

What part of town do you need to be in?
There's a really nice commercial campground just off of I-70 on the northwest side of the metro area called Dakota Ridge or something similar. There's also public campgrounds which are very nice at Bear Creek Lake Park on the west side of the metro area, and at Chatfield State Park on the southwest. Cherry Creek State Park is on the southeast. You can skirt heavy traffic by using the 470 loop around town.
If you can be a little more specific as to location, I may be able to offer more help.

I don't really know for sure where the games will be at this point. They may move around the area. Any suggestions are appreciated. As soon as I know then I can narrow down where we need to be. Thanks for the suggestion for advoiding traffic by using the bypass.

Denver's a big place. As an example, from my house to the airport is 53 miles, and they are both in the city limits, with suburbs after that. I'll keep an eye on this post, and maybe I can be more help when you can pin it down a little more closely.

We stay in Cherry Creek State Park in town, close to everything, big spaces, full hook ups. We also stay in Chatfield, State Park just outside. Would not stay anywhere else. However if you are near Longmont, Co. there is Boyd, State Park off of I-25 west of the interstate w/e with dump.

Guess we will be staying in Hudson and commuting to the games. Everything else was pretty much booked up so we'll just make the drive in every day. I see the bypass is a toll road so I guess I better bring a bankroll. LOL Thanks for the suggestions but I had waited too late to look.

The bypass is only a toll road on the north and east sides. Where does your family live, and where are the games to be held?

Don't know what fields they will be at yet. Probably won't until I get there. They will be at different fields. There is a 5 game guarantee b ut could be more depending on how they place. No family lives there. They are flying in so I have to make a couple of trips to the airport.Bob
