no power
Two weeks of recovery and I am READY TO GO CAMPING!!!!! So today wife and I are finishing loading everything up and she says, would you fix the light in the closet? I pull the bulb, and thats not it. I see in the socket one of the connections is bent, straighten it out put bulb in and nothing. Test for power to the fixture and nothing.
This wire comes from the ceiling behind the BR TV. The wire then connects to the ( for lack of better term) the cable distribution fixture, with the 12v socket in the closet. The light fixture is pigtailed into this wire. Man I didn't even get to my question yet. So here it comes.
Does anybody know were this wire comes from? It is two wires, white and white&gray. when i wiggle it, it sounds like it goes to the light over the dresser. but those wires are white& white&orange.

Kevin, I would check the fuse panel first, if possible pull the fuse panel and check the the wire colors back there. The wiggled wires you are hearing in the ceiling are threaded through the roof frames so following the sound can be tricky... Dave

Kevin,
I have had some luck placing a toner on the wires and following them with a hand held amplifier. If you have any friends in the telephone or cable TV business they might have one to loan you. Jim

Kevin, If the antenna booster works, green light showing, then there is power there at the pigtail. You mentioned that the wiring going to the closet light fixture is "pigtailed" into the other wires. I'm assuming that there is a three-way connector with one side a through connector and the other side is for one extra wire to be added to that feed. Hopefully I've described what you have. This is a way to share a fuse for another light or use. If the green light is showing when turned on, then there is power at that connector. Now, to answer your question. Do you have a 12v test light, like you would use on your truck? This is a simple method to determing if there is power to the receptical in the light fixture. Best wishes

OK, you can smack me for this one if I deserve it.
Are all the switches on?
There are several lights in my Monty that have two switches, one on the wall nearby and one on the lamp itself. They both have to be on for the light to work. If the wall switch were off you would get no power to the fixture.

Thanks for thinking about my issue, I did try the switch on the wall. still nothing. The only other thing I need to check is the Maxx Air fan i installed, maybe I goofed something up there.
Thanks again, kevin

Okay! You can smack me also.
The wire came from the manufacturer. Following it from that trail is going to be a difficult task. It seems you have narrowed it down and found one end. From there follow it to the other end in the trailer. That is the in-between points of where it came from.
Sorry, just could not help myself.
