Broke down 68000 miles 2006 F 250
Broke Down in Byron ,GA;;Well the turbo went out on our quick trip to Wis and back and we are sitting here over nite for parts..Thank s its all under warrenty as the 100,000 or 5 years on the driver train etc so its covered, but it started bucking and blowing black smoke so pulled into a ford dealer in low GA but he changed fuel filters but no it was the turbo and he had no body to do it for 2 days so they started calling north and the wrecker hauled us 29 miles and Peach county Ford is great as they took us to the motel and will pick us up in the am when done ..its only time lost , not a life ,,,sailer

Hope all is fixed well and your back on the road soon. My 06 F250 has 72K miles on it. I might need to keep an eye on mine a little more closely.

Got a brother-in-law that lives near there in Montezuma. Maybe he towed you since he also has a towing company along with his salvage yard. Hope all is going well except for the breakdown. Dennis might not have a bad idea, Sailer! Might need to check on a different model or even brand! Keep us up to date on the repairs and hope all goes well! Say "Hi!" to Sharon from us!

Sorry to hear about the breakdown but glad to hear about the warranty and service. It is difficult beyond measure to not introduce all of those acronyms for FORD at this time, but I will not do it, it is tempting, but I will not do it, daggone this is hard, but I will not do it!!!

I have replaced the turbo on my 2007.5 Dodge. So I believe any model can this problem. I believe I had about 20,000 miles on it when it failed. That 100,000 mile warranty might come in handy! Good luck on the rest of your trip.

Hey John, Did'nt I say last week that there is no simple trip? I hope all goes well in Wisconson, and with the truck repairs.

John, sorry to hear of the turbo problem. I had one fail as well. Apparently the 2005 and some 2006's had bad turbo's. My replacement has been fine so good luck and safe travels

Breakdowns never happen when it’s convenient do they? Sorry to hear of the trouble you had but sounds like it worked out ok.
