Just a thought
Just wanted to let the site owners know something from a newbie..ok, maybe a reaaallll slow newbie.
When I first came to this site and was looking around, it drove me nuts trying to find out how to get to the forums. I actually came in via "back door" thru the rally pages. If you look at the home page, it just didn't seem like there was...for lack of better description....a highlighted/dedicated link to the forums. I thought the large header there was merely a title ? Sorry if this sounds stupid, but I was kinda on the outside lookin' in

Glad you made it, Wild Horse. However you got here, you are now a member of probably the greatest forum for Montana Owners/RVers on the web.

The way I do it is to save the Active Topics page as one of my favorites (right click and add to favorites - for IE at least). I labelled it MOC forum on the favorites and one click and I am there with the new topics ready to be clicked. Hope this helps.

Oh Bingo, for someone who hasn't figured out that you have better luck raising the nose of the trailer with the stabilizer jacks up I can understand why you need a one click in the favorites list.

Interesting you would think that on the Home page. Maybe the only modification to the home page should be the actual words "CLICK HERE TO ENTER".... but otherwise that section does show all the register, forums, etc. links.
For experienced forum users what exists will suffice, but I think you are asking for something to improve the web page for the not-so-experienced. I could see that. Every other forum I used or helped run had at least one person asking for something more obvious even though we thought it was obvious. Interesting.
I highly recommend you click on many of the other links in the Home page. Besides this forum, there are a huge number of links with incredibly useful information. There is so much information it seems many of us find it easier to post a topic rather than hunt for the link.
Well you finally made it here. Welcome and happy posting!

that's exactly my point...once you know, you can go !
wouldn't want any newbies not being able to find the door knob to the forums...everything else is crystal clear and great !

Wild Horse,
Thank you for your suggestion. I can see where it may not be all that clear for someone new. But we are glad you got here no matter what road you used.
We will look into somehow improving the process.

Phill,
C'mon, it is easy to do when you don't have your glasses on. Oh wait, I don't wear glasses. Oh, I know, it was a very foggy day on the river and I couldn't see the back of the rig. That's it, that's my story and I am sticking to it!!!!!

We're kinda like Bingo. We like to get where we're going quickly! We sent the "Active Topics" as a shortcut to the desktop. Then we're one click away. From there we can get anywhere we want. Welcome to the Forum. Beware, it is addictive!

I also have the Active link saved in my favorites. Don't think I've looked at the home page since I signed up.
Happy trails..................

Well, I created a shortcut fo the main forum page and put it on my desktop and I really have a one click approach to the forum. Also, my home page on my Yahoo mail server is the forum and my home page under the internet options is on the forum. Golllllllllyyyyyy, I think I have been forumized for sure!!!!!!
