Write him a ticket. He is overloaded. I don't think he has enough braking power on the down hill run plus he can't make the 40 MPH freeway minimum.

Exceeds the Cargo capacity and the Hitch weight is wayyyyyyyyy over.. Butttt a rear spring pack will do the trick.

Glenn- Being an avid cyclist/road/mountain... I would say his brakes are in adeguate.Although its a single axle unit which appears to be balanced in the picture,I beleive a definite payload/cargo capacity issue exist.I wonder what the sticker on the seat stay tube states as actual safe limits for the pictured self propelled vehicle.I'm sure tire load spec and phenumatic pressure will enter the equation too.
My road bike Michelin tires call for 120 psi,on the other hand my mountain bike tires/Michelin tubless off road trail call for a max psi of 58 lbs.
PS.I have a U Tube clip of 1920/1930 vehicles pulling campers and some campground footage as well describing the trailer life in that time period.I'm looking for it and will post the link when I find it.I sure everyone will enjoy it.

The hitch weight is okay as long as he has the correct tires and an extra spring...bikes are really all the same.

If you ask him, he is not over weight.

The main problem I see is that his tow vehicle is a SRW.I would strongly recommend a dual rear wheel adult trike and the problem would be solved.Better weight distribution & larger platform/unequaled stability.
Of course now the problem is the extra width of the dually and going through drive ins etc.

It is doubtful if a surge brake will work with his setup. He may need to install rim caliper brakes in addition to the coaster brake. You just can't have too much stopping power.

I don't see braking as a problem. Torque to the rear wheel of the TV may be a problem. I don,t see any dust coming from the wheels.

Ah, but on the good side, no bug mess on the front of the camper to clean; and very little road tar kicked up either. Fuel mileage may be a little rough but no problem finding the gym / exercise room at the camp site. All in all, a fair trade I think

Looks like he's pulling on a slushy road too. No chains!

On the positive side, it DOES look like he's keeping his eyes on his gauges, though.
