montana a 2nd home?
How many have the Monty as a 2nd home?
I was thinking of this when Okie Guy posted his question of financing.
Our bank told us years ago that it could be set up as a vacation home.

I have a 25' cabin cruiser that I have been writing off my taxes for 12 years. One reason I bought the new rig is my write off is getting small on the boat, so next year I will write off the rig as my second.

We've written off our RV's as a vacation home for many years. As long as it is self-contained, it is elgible.
Happy trails.........................

As long as you don't already have a second home, you can deduct any interest you pay on the Monty. I don't beleive there is anything special you need to set up, at least for Federal.

Ditto - self contained boats and RV's interest can be deducted as second home; at least here in Oregon.

This is a great savings often overlooked. We have been deducting the interest on our self contained RV's for the last 10 years as a 2nd home. Every little bit helps.

Prior to fulltiming we took the 2nd home deductions for our Montana. Now, of course, it is our only home.

Don't forget the registration fees and taxes you paid for your rig.
