Exit Windows replacement
I have a 2006 Montana 3400RL, and I would like to replace the exit windows in bedroom and office with the newer model that opens and has a screen.
Has anyone done this?

Not sure you can cover that "Emergency Exit" window with a screen AND keep the trailer legal. May be certain codes that are violated if a screen is put on there, Dennis and Diane. I may be way off base on this thought, but others will be along later to straighten me out - again...

Dennis & Diane, first it is not a newer model that has a screen. If you have dual pane windows, you do not have a screen. Those of us without dual panes, have a screen. I believe there have been a couple of MOC members who have added a screen. BTW there are no emergency window police.
Happy trails....................

I have ordered a sliding dual paine escape window from my dealer, if and when I get it, I will post any numbers that are on it or the packaging. I think it was $200 odd dollars. (3400RL)

Thanks for the posting guys. We do have the dual pane windows. That solves the mystery, thanks sue.
We will try and customize something that works. Dont like $2oo.oo a piece...
would be nice if they offer it as an option in the future, maybe they do. not sure.
Anyway, thanks everyone.

Keeping you posted, my worthless dealership; (Naylor in K.C.) still hasn't contacted me about the windows, OR the appointment to get the Warr. items done, I asked for...repeatedly, and constantly 3 month's ago. Grumble grumble.....

OK, worthless dealership not worthless....They came through like a trooper, I have changed out one at the desk with a sliding screen, no escape, don't need it there. Have one on order, should be here soon for the bedroom. Another Keystone unit has them, but it is a swing out screened window; escape. I'll let you know the cost on it.
Thanks Diane and Dennis.
