Squeeky floors
I'm trying figure out if it is just me and I am being too picky. Our floor in front of the TV squeeks whenever you walk on it. Also, when walking in the kitchen, that slide squeeks near the floor. Wife says it needs to be on the repair list for the dealer.
Has anybody else had this problem?

A squeeky floor in a camper is no doubt just like a squeeky floor in a house..It is not properly nailed down, screwed down
or stapled down or has come loose. It would be on my service center repair list.

I have never owned a RV yet that did not have a floor that would squeek, creek or make some sort of noise when walked on after towing it as many miles as they get towed on our great roads.

Put it on the service list, my 3400 doesn't do that, yours shouldn't either. Have had many campers over the years and never had a floor creak.

Our 3280 squeaksup around thelaundry chute and the potty room. Was going to try to fix it, but with the new 3400 coming, I'll pass.
Don't know why it squeaks, I looked underneath and there are no gapsbetween the floor frame and the flooring. I'm thinking it's caused by compression and release? Anyone else have any ideas?

I have a few squeaky places in mine also. Something else I noticed that really bugs me, but I don't know if theres anything that can be done about it. In the fireplace area, there is a BIG knot in the floor under the carpeting. There is another one a little further towards the rear of the trailer, and because they are "in line" with one another, I'm wondering if they are screws or bolt heads. Anyone else notice this in the 3475?

Got to be bolt heads or screws. I think your on the right track. Is your service center nearby? or will you pass one, or do you have a friend that knows how to lift and reset carpet?

My floor does not squeak, but I am sure that would annoy me as well. Start with your dealership to see if they can do anything. If not, you could try the Customer Service 800# to see if Keystone can be of assistance.

Mine doesn't have any knots or bumps in floor but do have squawk by laundry chute and bathroom (potty room just as you step in, everything from underneath looks tight floor to frame so figured it was nature of the beast.

We all pay a lot of money for these units.
If there is any problems with the unit, like a squeeky floor or any other problems, get them fixed or documented by your dealer in the first year warrenty period, also keep a copy of any and all paperwork

Ah Carlson a man after me own heart.. We have 16 items on our service center fix list 14 of which I could fix myself but that won't happen..Keystone built it..they did not build it right, Keystone can fix it.. If all of us took them back to our dealer, if feasible and let Keyst one foot the fix bill..they just might do a better jop building them?? Not picking on Keystone.. You would do it of it had a Ford, Dodge or Chevy badge.

Our 3400 had a floor squeek between the kit table and the center counter. The dealer fixed it, had to drop some panels underneath...said something was not tight.

We have had the squeeky floor syndrome also. Bob was going to put some shims in, but really couldn't find a place that needed it or coud do it. We have noticed that it doesn't happen sometimes. I think it has something to do with how level you are. It is in the laundry hamper, commode area.

We got our 3650RK back in July. After our two maiden voyages, I took it in for a few minor repairs and a sqweek in the floor just inside the front door and about 18" from the LvRm heat register. The problem is it doesn't sqweek all the time. Naturally, the dealer service center couldn't find it. I will try to make it sqweek the next time I take in back in.

Thanks for all the info. I'm not near our dealer and since this is no real problem, I will wait until May when we head to Wisconsin and have the dealer check it. I like to fix problems myself, but that is what the warranty is for. I'm just afraid that some repair guy will make things worse.
Thanks again!

I agree with all above who say if it's on warranty take it back before you get the "after warranty woes" and "I was going to do that..." blues.

I have a machine screw that backed out of my kitchen floor. When I opened the slide it tore a hole in the vinyl floor exposing about 1/2" of the screw head. Now it squeaks there. I tried tightened the screw but the nut had come off. I glued it all back down and told my dealer about it when I took it in for service.

We have had a squeak in the floor in front of the shower area since day one, had the dealer fix it once and it lasted about a month. I did drive some screws from the storage area up thru the alum frame into the floor (made sure they didn't go clear thru) around the laundry shut door and that stopped it for awhile. Someone suggested that I spray baby talcum powder between the alum frame in basement and the floor. I bought a small plastic squeeze bottle with a small nozzle and the talcum powder, but I haven't gotten around to trying it out to see if it works.
