Apparantly so, although there are still tons of 2007s on the Dealer lots with the standard TV. I believe December was the transition, and what came out of the production line was based on the TV inventory and production line modifications to the cabinetry.

When we purchased our 3400RL two weeks ago the dealer told use that our new rig was coming with the 27"LCD, and that all of the units will from now on.

Does anyone know if there is any problem with the LCD and freezing weather, particularly when storing for the winter in the North? Thanks, Sue C

Good question Sue (seeings how mine is outside freezing right now!!)
The manual says low operating temperature 32 degrees and low storage temperature -4 degrees. Guess I better figure out how to get our out of there so I can bring it into the house.
We did find that Keystone left us the TV base stored under the bed so we can use it for other than the Monty.

Had no idea that the -4 degrees was the lower safety limit. Once we get the Monty home that LCD TV wil be in the house and staying warm. We've been lucky this year--no temps like that so far--but it is usually a regular occurence in Upstate NY in the winter so better safe than sorry. Hope that the rig is staying warm til we pick it up in MI. Thanks for the heads up.

It is my understanding that is why they are using the LCD as opposed to the Plasma which will freeze at a higher temperature and also not with stand the movement of an RV.
Happy trails........................

Bill,
Not sure exactly what happens at the lower temp, but it must mean something as it's the first time I've seen an actual "storage" temperature rating in a TV manual.

I hear you on that one. I've never seen that rating either--and I'm not anxious to find out what happens to that LCD at -10. Discretion is the greater part of valor.

Look at the manual for your laptop. It has similiar ratings for storage or at least mine does. So does my desktop monitor (LCD).
Happy trails...................

The LCD screen on my GPS fails to operate near 20 degrees, so it stays in the house until I use the truck.
I did a mod to install an LCD in our rig and no way is that tv out there now that winter is upon us, and it won't go out until the temps are above freezing.
I have been wondering how all this would play out with LCD's starting to come from the factory. I surely wouldn't leave it out in freezing temps.

Sue - yep you're right. Same technology.
Bruce - I always bring my little Aussie in when it's cold, mainly because she is so hard to get up and going in the morning .

We put a 15" LCD in the bedroom. We have been in some colder temperatures this year, our how water pipes froze, thank goodness they did not burst, but the TV was fine. We were traveling when this happened so the coach didn't have heat until we stopped for the night.
Of course the TV is up high in the bedroom of the 5er, not close to the ground, but we all know how well insulated we are, NOT. Judy
