Electric power
Howdy I have a 2010 Montana mountaineer bunkhouse edition.
My problem is I plugged in to 50 amp shore power and everything works fine!
I left to run home (200 miles) came back the next evening.
My main A/C had stopped, my refrigerator had stopped, no plug ins or any 12 lights had stopped. My batteries were drained.
I hooked up a battery charger and everything started working again.
What would cause this???

Your question is unclear. As far as the batteries being drained I'd charge then and load test them. You might simply have a bad battery.
Are you saying that the Air conditioner and fridge had stopped but everything else worked? Is you fridge 12 volt? If so a dead battery would cause this but you 12 volt lights would also not work or be very dim. As far as the AC, that would be a different problem.

The way I read this is: all DC and AC electrical stopped working. Consequently, the air conditioner and wall plugs were inop. The battery was completely discharged (because there was 12V stuff left on? The refer requires 12V to operate so even if on propane, when the 12V quit, so did it?
You say you plugged in a battery charger and everything started working. The battery charger produces 12V. No way it would get the AC or wall plugs operable. What did you plug the battery charger into. A plug on the pole or one in the RV. What is going on with the converter that should be charging the batteries?
Do you have 120V at the power pole, and at the breaker panel?
This defies explanation given what information was provided.

It sounds like his converter isn’t working. If it was all the 12 volt stuff should have been working. I’d check the converter.

Or that the Battery Disconnect Switch is in the correct position.

You lost 120vac while you were gone. No AC = no converter = no battery charging = dead batteries. Dead batteries = no control functions for A/C, fridge or power for lights. Sounds like your batteries are weak or marginal at best. Hooking up the battery charger bypassed the weak state of the batteries restoring the functions above. Check those batteries would be my thought.

Good morning -
Confession time.... I have had the exact same problem with my rig! The issue was that I forgot to turn on the power at the pedestal and left the rig to run on batteries alone - it worked great initially since batteries were fully charged. When I returned, everything was dead! When I restored power to the rig - turned on the power at the pedestal, everything worked!
Question, was there power at the pedestal/50 amp service turned on?
