Here is a link to GM’s position on fuel additives. They say not needed or recommended, but basically if you think it will help they don’t prohibit it with a few caveats.

Diesel Fuel Additives
It should not be necessary to add any aftermarket additives to your fuel if you use a high quality diesel fuel that conforms to ASTM industry specifications. Aftermarket additives can damage the fuel injector system or engine.
Use Motorcraft® cetane booster or an equivalent cetane booster additive if you suspect fuel has low cetane. Use Motorcraft® anti-gel & performance improver or an equivalent additive if there is fuel gelling.
Do not use alcohol-based additives to improve cetane quality, to prevent fuel gelling or any other use. The use of alcohol additives may result in damage to the fuel injectors and system. See Engine Specifications - 2.7L EcoBoost™.
Your warranty may not cover repairs needed to correct the effects of using an aftermarket product that does not meet Ford specifications in your fuel.

Never use any additives that contain alcohol. That should be the first thing you look for on the label.

Ford recommends using Top Tier certified fuel and I use that almost exclusively in all my vehicles. I think using high quality fuel is the most important thing you can do.

I was told by a custom builder/diesel mechanic of 40 years to use Standadyne. Luckily I had already switched to it. So I got a compliment. LOL

That's what GM recommends in the Duramax, so that's what I used when I had a Chevy. I've always used Power Service in my other diesels.

I doubt it matters much if you do or don't use a lubricity additive unless you intend to keep your vehicle for hundreds of thousands of miles. My last Duramax is way out almost to 500,000 miles on the original fuel pump and my current one is pushing past 320,000 miles. We use it in our eighteen wheelers for the same reason and we run a huge number of miles with no fuel pump issues.
I should also mention that we have virtually no starting issues in cold weather because the fuel does not jell when treated Power Service. No I don't sell it, I just use it.

I am not real concerned about (adding) lubricity in my '19 Ram. I just had the CP4 recall done (switched it out to the CP3).
I do use Power Service at recommended dosage in the winter time... I live in ND, and I TRY NOT to put any #1 fuel in the truck unless there is a forcast of extended below 0˚ temperatures, and then I will shoot for nothing thinner than an 80/20 blend.
I always use truck stop fuel where I know the go through tens of thousands of fuel a week so I am getting fresh fuel.
IMHO, now that I am away from the disastrous CP4 pump, the fuel system should be able to handle ULSD. The ULSD fuel has been around for a long time and that should be factored into the design. I burn 250 gallons a week in my work truck year round with no issues.

The EPA and Cost. most of the pumps come from Europe and Asia. They do not use low surfer diesel outside of the US and they do not have the failure rate that we have in the USA. The Sulfur was the lubrication. I use an additive in my Duramax every tank. The cost of repair is just way to high to no use additives. Risk vs Return

We always us Archoil products. The anti-stiction additive and the oil additive at every oil change. Works great with the Bulletproof products in our 2005 F350 6.0

Have had some flavor of diesel in the garage for the last 30 years.
Live up near the Canadian border, spend a fair amount north of the border in the winter, so a lot of cold weather miles.
Did a few years as a heavy diesel mechanic for Case back in the 90's.
I don't use any additives, use the correct grade fuel for your temp and buy it from a high volume dealer.
If you want todo something 'extra' to help a diesel engine, change the fuel filter(s) early.

It keeps getting harder and harder to get 100% Number 2 Diesel since the pumps don't have to be labeled for up to 5% Bio-Diesel, with many pushing the 20% Bio which adds plenty of lubricity thus negating the need for added.

I’ve been using Opti-Lube every tank since new in 2018. I use XPD. Not one issue all these years.

I have the same truck as you. All the 2017 F350 come with the Bosch CP4 pump? I started using the LX4 everyday treatment from Hotshot.
