Nope, I've done nothing with my truck since we purchased it brand spankin' new. It performed great. I don't mess with anything. It towed 2 different travel trailers and now the Monte fifth wheel. I have no problems. All factory original except for tires and wiper blades.

I agree, over the years I have use many suspension upgrades, just about everything, Air bags, timbrens, etc. the cost did not measure up. I have a 2022 GMC Denali, I will do nothing the suspension. I have very little sag, unless you have a lot of pin weight the GM Trucks don't sag as bad. It is a truck, will never ride like a car. I did add a transfer tank, tool box combo. However, we travel in the West for years it was alway a necessity for us. Fuel point can be difficult.
Happy trails.

Our old truck rides like a sled when empty. Especially with 80lb psi in the rear tires. It actually rides much better with the camper attached or heavy load in the bed. The ride when empty has always been my biggest complaint moving up to a 1 ton truck from a 3/4 ton truck. Strange thing is I've been in duallys that feel much softer when unloaded than our SRW.
Always thought it was just the price you pay to haul these big campers around. Not really a big deal to us.

Sounds like the GM product does not need any help , but have seen many that would benefit .
Nothing wrong with airbags ,wouldn't own a truck without ,either aftermarket or factory . My sons runs factory ,I run aftermarket . Pretty much the same results .
IMO the biggest thing you can do to improve the ride of these trucks empty is just air down the rear tires from 80 psi to 40-50 psi. I run mine empty always at 45 psi. They all ride pretty decent with 2K plus pin weight on them

I put air bags and a self-leveling system on the rear axle of my TV. Makes a huge difference in ride quality when towing. Once on the road I can bleed down the pressure a little to get the ride I want and still keep the Monty level.

Totally agree 100%. I run about 50 psi in the rear during the winter when we're not using the camper. Makes a world of difference.
Had to have a buddy reprogram the computer to not set off the warning light and buzzer when aired down. Its now set for 50psi so that's where I run them in winter.

My air bags do help but in the end I guess I don't mind that it rides like a truck. It's a truck...and I enjoy driving it.

Timbrens are definitely superior to air bags. From Jacksonville. How do you deal with the constant road work and 80+ mph drivers?

I dont drive in Jacksonville any more than necessary. I work from home and leave town as much as possible.

I like my Firestone air bags but the thing that REALLY reduced porpoising was Rancho 9000 adjustable shocks. When towing our 5er, they're on setting #9.

Have had the Timbrens in the past and far prefer the air bags. Personal preference.

hell wig was cheaper for me. I only installed on the rear. Self install.

Had it installed this week, pulled the trailer 350 miles yesterday. So far the best upgrade I've done to the truck. Wife even said wow.
Time will tell hope I didn't speak too soon.

It doesn't help the ride at all. Air bags are adjustable on the fly You don't need them for the front. There is enough weight over the front wheels but in the back the bags work with the shocks to soften the ride a bit. You will like them for leveling out the truck when hitched up. Helps put the headlights back on the road instead of shining in the trees.

I feel like the best thing you can do is quality shocks. I use Bilstein 5100's, but others like Fox and Rancho have quality options. The combination of air bags, good shocks and a Reese Goosebox gives me the best towing ride I have had, by far.

I use airbags on my 2020 Ram 3500 MegaCab to level the vehicle while towing our 2015 RL 3100. I put in ~35 psi to level via the onboard compressor and it rides nicely.
