2020 MHC 331RL How do you adjust the hot water on shower valve? Need more hot water. Already checked the outside shower valves etc. and they are closed. TIA

First, are you getting hot water from other faucets?

Hmmm, does the shower have hot and cold valves, or a single handle?

If other faucets produce hot water and the shower doesn't, I would suspect the shower faucet itself. Sounds like a mixing issue. Perhaps some safety feature with newer faucets??
Sorry, I'm at a loss without dissecting it myself. Hopefully the smarter folks here will chime in and provide some help. Good luck, cold showers are no fun.

Most of the single handle shower faucets have a scald guard in them. Think it is required by law. The ones I'm familiar with have a plastic cam that sits over the stem that determines how far the lever can be moved in the hot direction. Remove the handle and you should see it. Pull it out a little and rotate it CCW a couple of notches.

I have heard of others with this same problem.
One guy swapped the hot and cold water supply pipes.

Our 2019 330RL has the same issue in the shower. Turn it all the way to hot and you get hot. Turn it just a fraction to the cold side and you get cold. Hardly any "less than all the way hot" at all. Either hot or cold. Hubs took the fixture off and couldn't find an anti-scald device or mixing problem. It just is what it is. If there is a better fixture we would like to know.
Don't want one with two handles.

We've been having the same issue with our single valve.
I decided im just going to replace it with a dual valve. then you can mix it how you want it, and it doesnt need to be full on when boondocking so we can save some water.

I have knob for both cold and hot. My ideal shower temp is with the hot all the way on and the cold about 90%. Couldn't go much hotter if I wanted, but I don't like it scalding hot.

We clean our tank once a year as we are fulltime for 4 + years now, you will be surprised how much scale comes out. Scale takes up room for water therefor you will go thru your hot water faster, we sometimes turn on the gas hot water heater also if we are taking showers back to back. As said we clean the tank once a year and replace the mag. anode rod and the heating element all at the same time once a year. Preventative maintenance.

My 305rl came from factory with reversed hot and cold to shower fixture. When single dial indicated cold it was super hot. Once lines were switched to correct positions now we have same issue as others with it being too cold unless fully on to hottest setting and it’s still not hot enough at times. Seems to be the fixture and how it mixes. I may change the lines back to being reversed to get the hot water, but worrying about being too hot/ scalding.

My 2016 305rl had the same problem, on the single fiture take off the handle and rotate the plastic mix to achieve required temp

Too safe?
A faucet with a scald control?
Are we too dumb to adjust the water temperature to suit ourselves now? I realize that common sense is a passing fad now that everything from headlights to computer/phone, etc., updates are shoved on us ready or not. But surely a person can tell if the running water is too hot or too cold for comfort without being scalded or frozen.
I am not opposed to safety but I am opposed to being disallowed to use common sense.

A friend who owns a plumbing company told me someone broke a grab handle off in a shower and sued the manufacturer. No problem they just quit putting grab handles in them.
No we aren’t to dumb to set the water temperature but a few are and the manufacturers are tired of being sued.

Sued
Anybody can sue anybody for anything. Stupidity not withstanding.
Lawsuits often follow on the heels of a person doing something stupid. That's how lawyers sometimes make a living.
Being old I still think a person should take some responsibility for their own actions including checking the water temperature before getting in. I know that won't wash in todays courts but it should.

Hmm, no one seems to have an answer to this, and I have an SOB and have the same exact issue. Has anyone contacted the manufacturer of the shower fixture or Keystone about this? I will contact my manufacturer and see if they have a solution.
