What are these bubbles in the finish ???
Just found these bubbles in my finish on one of the basement doors. What causes them and is it fixable or just from age?

I’ll stick my neck out. How about water. I’d be looking for a leak. Someone might be along with better information than I have.

I've seen those. I attribute them to poor assembly. Stick a pin in them and push out the trapped air.

It’s a 2012 model. Surly this would have shown up before now.

They feel like air bubbles, not water. And if I stick a hole in them that will introduce outside air and may make it worse.

Try poking a small one and see what happens. They are likely air pockets. The air is pressurized thus making a bulge in the decal. Releasing that pressure will allow the sticker to reattach to the base material.

They will eventually pop and start to peel off, at least thats what happened to the ones on the propane doors on my 2015. Might as well try the pin thing and see if you can save them before hand

Going to try pinning them pushing the air out and sealing with clear fingernail polish. Thanks for all the replies and help! For a 2012 it's in better shape inside and out than 2-3 year old models. I bought it from the original owner. Love it!

I had this issue on a Landmark fifth wheel. According to 3 different RV paint shops and information from the internet the probable cause is from poor preparation of the surface and/or contaminants in the paint equipment. The only way to fix it is to sand it and repaint the area. My estimate for 3 baggage doors was around $2,000. I ended up selling the unit.

I tried pinning one and when I did, the paint where the bubble was peeled. It was on the solid black part of the paint so I just cut out the peeling part, cleaned, and used touch-up paint and sealed with clear nail polish. It looks good for what it is. Just going to leave the rest until they need attention.
