Jim, we need to coordinate this with Ron and Rhonda Marlin. They're the big cheeses in this. I was wondering if it would be possible to do a map from a satellite view? The current ones really aren't very accurate. What do you think? We don't need a lot of detail, just a more accurate view of the roads. And maybe a compass rose, to give it that old world charm thingy.

Always happy to have the USAF coming through again for us. If I remember correctly you had a lot of stripes so we'll find you a cushy job.

Let me look at the possibilities fo making the map better. Is the layout, sites going to be the same as 2019?

That is a good question. I would say yes but there may be a few small changes. We need to check with the Marlins or other WM's on that. (queue a little help from you lurking WM's) I don't want to make this into a lot of work for you, Jim. I just thought if there was an easy way to produce a better map we could do that. The larger scale maps that we have of the various camping areas are good, it's just the overall map I would like to see done. I'm open to suggestions from all you closet cartographers out there. I sure hope I used the right word. I'm not sure if its closet or unadorned wardrobe storage area.

Working on it! Almost done. Just need to know the angles, but may look at some photos for that. ( Hope the PDF comes thru)

Good morning all,
There is a change being made to the map. One row needs to have the angle direction reversed. We are working on it.
So glad everyone is ready to go and on top of things!!!!!

Jim,
If you have the 2019 Rally book you can check out the maps on pages 25-28. I think those are probably good. The one on page 24 (macro view) though could be improved to show the actual roads and pathways like the one between Locust and Maple streets, on page 26. This is the big picture map we need to blow up for easier reading for the guides to get a better feel of how to take rigs to the sites. I don't have access to the planned individual parking areas but I doubt if they have changed since 2019. When we get to the rally the first through ? bourbons are on me. No map required. Thanks for all your help.
Woody
ps I just saw the post from Marilynd so lets wait to see what she comes up with.

Just reading this message as we have been camping since the beginning of July and finally have decent WiFi.
I would be happy to help once again.
Best Regards.
