3 A/C units in 106 degree weather
I am on my maiden voyage to attend our granddaughter's graduation in our new 3121RL. We ordered it with 3 A/C units. It is 105/106 degrees here! Using all 3 A/C units at the same time we are able to keep the coach at 72 degrees. I am very pleased with how comfortable it has made our trip. On another note... so far we have not had any issues with our new RV on its maiden trip. It seems to be well-made and I am really liking the sterling FBP and Legacy package. Hopefully, it will continue being a dependable unit.

Nice! It will be triple digits in the upcoming months here as well. We elected for the 3rd a/c from factory too. I do wish they installed the rear a/c temp sensor in the rear of the coach rather than next to the middle a/c sensor in the coffee bar area (plus coffee pot kicks the a/c on!)

Some people may be interested in knowing where "here" is. Only in general of course.

Montana uses Coleman Mach Q units for the 3 AC applications. All have "soft start" built into them. At least that is what I was told when I ordered the RV

Here was Redding, California. It cooled down the week after we left, but now the forecast is for 109 for next Thursday and Friday. It does get hot there!

Main thing I do is try to get ahead of temperature and cool the dickens down before it gets hot. Like 66

3 AC’s
This is my first summer in my Montana 3761 FL with three AC units (Full Timer) in north Texas. Today it was 97° with 68% humidity and it felt like a swamp outside. 108 was the temperature index My three units kept everything very cool and at one point it was 72°, I decided I was probably pushing the units too much and brought it up to 75, still cool. Oh by the way I am in full sun with zero tree coverage . They did a great job and a huge step up for my smaller travel trailer with one AC unit.

We're going to see more and more 3ac units since it's getting really hot more places than it used to. The problem is going to be parks that aren't wired to support the load.

Soft start should keep 3 running units under 50 amps shouldn’t they?

Someone may correct me, but the "soft start" does not reduce running amps. 3 A/C's at approx 12 amps each = 36 amps which is over what some older 30 amp campgrounds supply. There are power management controls for 3 A/C's, but they still cycle between 2 at a time.

12 amps per A/C!!!!! Mine on 2 different units have been around 16-17 amps after running for a hour in 100 degree temps. This per the readout on the EMS.

My "off the hip" guestimate stands corrected. My 2015 15K Dometic Duo Therm Brisk II A/C is drawing @15.9 amps today and my 13.5K Penguin is drawing @ 13.8 per my Murata digital power meters here in Wichita.

50 amp shorepower is 2 - 120V 50 amp legs coming into the rig and as long as 1 of the units is on opposite sides of this split phase system it should not be a problem on a rig with 50 amp shorepower.

My 2021 Montana 3121RL has 3 Coleman A/C units. All three units run simultaneously. So far they have worked flawlessly and has kept the unit cool in very hot weather.

Remember that a 50 amp RV service is really 220V 50 amp with 2-hot wires, 1-neutral and 1-ground, giving the RV 2-120v 50 amp circuits, unlike 30 a amp service that is a single 120V 30 amp circuit. Some things run on one 120V 50 amp circuit (one AC) and others run on the second 120V 50 amp circuit (second AC). When you convert your 50 amp plug to a 30 amp you power both sides of the RV with a single 30 amp circuit.
In a 3 AC unit two units will run on one of the 50 amp circuits drawing close to 30+ amps when both are running (soft start would most likely be needed here), hopefully the microwave is on the same circuit as the single AC.
I think I got all this correct, please comment if I messed something up.
