Replace tail lights with LED
I have a 2018 Montana High Country 305RL. We have a lot of road time, and I am doing some upgrades. I am looking for direct replacement LED tail lights that will be the same size as the stock ones. Any ideas? Thanks!

Your best option may be to just install LED bulbs. I replaced ours with LED lights, but they are standard round lights like on a truck or trailer, so fit perfect. You might look in an RV dealer's store, and even if they are not exact replacements, if they cover all the holes and do all what the originals do, I would go for it.

I thought about switching bulbs but they are water sensitive and the larger ones can get hot I understand. Thanks for the reply

What do your existing lights look like? Surface mount? Photo?

With our 2014 HC, just went here, https://www.superbrightleds.com/, and bought a pair of 1057/2057 replacements for the brake and tail in 2015, didn't bother with the back ups but they too are simple replacements as well. Nary a failure and I drive with lights on 100% of the time. Be real careful with many of the Amazon no-name junk. They aren't worth the effort. These simple LEDs don't seem to be any hotter then the OE incandescents. If you are talking about replacement LED headlights for a motor vehicle, they will usually have a heat sink of some sort - nut that wasn't your question

rear tail lights
I mounted these, but they do require some minor cutting on the fiberglass. Turned out great looking!

Hi,
you can mount the OEM from the Montanas.
Only horizontal than vertical.

Taillights
We have 2007 3400RL. Several years ago while stopped in a bare lot for lunch, I realized our left tail light, signal filament, was burned out. I didn't like the fact someone behind me would see my signal light - not safe.
Rather than simply replace the bulb, which I did right away, when I got home I added two LED taillights, full function (run/brake/signal) so If a bulb burned out again, I had backup. It was very easy to install. Standard 4" waterproof sealed assemblies. Not only do they look fine, I felt much safer.
I hope the picture gets attached to this reply.

How did you install them? Meaning, to get the the wiring and make an opening? I have a2007 3400RL. Thanks!

I simply drilled a 4" hole through the fibreglass and the new light with a rubber seal ring fit right in. The fibreglass is about 1/8" thick, maybe a touch more. I removed the existing taillight assembly to get at the wiring and just tapped into that wiring. A little bit of work but really very easy.
I feel fortunate that I have a lot of tools around the house from renovations and building I've done in the past and happened to have the 4" drill bit among my tools. If you don't have one, you can buy one, or get an electrician or plumber to drill the holes for you. They likely have that hole cutter drill bit.
The LED light is very common and should not be hard to find.
