What a mess!
Had to leave my High Country for a few days, which then turned in to a week with the artic blast that left me snow bound until yesterday evening.
When I got here, I see water has flooded the kitchen, bedroom carpet, ducts and basement and running out under the frame. Yikes!
So, after trying to soak up everything last night and start the dry out, I find this as the source of my misery today.
This is the top of the HW tank, so I'm guessing the outlet water had no place to go (dripped the incoming, but not faucets for hot) and with -20 something, propane tank went empty, power out off and on for 3 days-
This was a doozy.
Hope it can be welded.

It is only a water heater and not that cost to replace it. You should be turning water off whenever you leave the trailer to prevent water issues. Been there, done that with the original toilet that flooded my trailer.

The fix
Well, now It's warmer, hallelujah. Got the tank repaired, but had a lot of brittle wires and some overheating signs at the relay which I need to replace.
Probably a good deal of sweating takes place that drips into the electrode connections inside the cover. Will be taking steps to correct that flaw.
Here's the fix, pressure holds at 30 psi with no other sign of leakage.
One minor mishap, forgetting to take pressure relief/back flow? fitting (pic) and ended up melting the innerds.
Any idea how to order another?

Thanks CandS, I saw that and another, but not sure they are right size.
Tape shows 3/4", and brand is marked by 2 crossed axes (so had to take a close of that, ha).
All the 3/4 I've seen are female.

Actually, the threaded holes in the back of the water heater are 1/2 inch FPT (female pipe thread). Here is another link to Trekwoods offering:

Isn't that strange? How does that make sense? Now, I got to go measure that sucker, haha.
But I dropped it back at the 5er, so I'll take your word for it. Thanks again.

You pressure checked it to 30 psi?
The water pump is rated to 55Psi.
Nice welding!!

Is it because the plumbing is all 1/2" inside diameter?

Pipe sizes are generally measured from the inside diameter, not the outside.

That sucks! ...
Just a note, I would really suggest finding a very good dehumidifier and Run it for a long long time. We had flooding in our bedroom area due to a mishap when in winterizing atbthh he r dealer. We pulled gallons and gallons of water out of the air and walls for months.

If water got to the sub floor below the carpet/floor covering, it will NEVER dry out without removing the carpet/floor covering. The osb subfloor will just stay wet and rot away into a moldy stinky mess.
Also, if water was leaking to the out side, coming from inside, then the insulation in the floor is also wet and may never dry out.
You need to have a pro look at your trailer. It just MAY very well be a total lose.

I have all the parts now to install a lit switch at the door to the RV. Whenever I am going to leave the area, flip the switch and kill the power to an electric water valve. This way even if I forget in a power failure it shuts off.
