We have a 2009 3465SA with the original Toshiba flat screen in the living room over the fireplace. It has an HDMI port, so we just take our Amazon Fire TV Stick and use it. Does everything a smart TV will do and more. We do have a Vizio smart TV in the bedroom, but we use the Fire TV stick there as well. I replaced the old bedroom CRT TV with the flat screen Vizio. So much lighter and gives us more storage room behind it.

We went with a Vizio smart tv. We have had a Vizio for about 15 years. The first 50 inch one in house weighed about 125 lbs. They are now about 25lbs. I just measured the opening in cabinet and bought tv to fit. We have had the best luck and picture with the Vizio's. On one i had to buy a swing mount, but the side i bolted it to was hidden so nothing showed. Good Luck and Happy Trails

I read an article in Cnet once that recommended buying a "dumb" tv and using a fire stick or Roku to make it smart. The processors are faster in the sticks and they update better. I have a smart tv in my home that is about 8 years old and most new apps aren't available even after running update, so I use a Fire stick instead.

Many years ago I replaced the bedroom CRT with a flat screen. I mounted the flat screen on the wall between the closet and the window. Then filled the hole in the cabinet door with plastic. Also reversed the hinges so the cabinet door opens more comfortably.
Actually, as I remember, I just turned the cabinet door up side down and relocated the closer. Can't see it right now so my questionable memory is sharing this.

I have a 2016 that came with a 50 inch TV. When I crushed it with a slide retraction I replaced it with a Samsung 54 inch Smart TV from Best Buy. I also had to replace the flimsy factory bracket and cut a little wood. I put a Sharp smart TV in the bedroom and replaced the factory air antenna with an amplified one that works. I also got a great router and mostly used cell phone for internet when I full timed.

TV bracket swivel arm needs to move up
I am installing a 50" Samsung smart TV to replace the OEM 50" Insignia TV.
The mounting holes on both TVs are identical, but I had to go to Lowes and find some metric screws M8 x 1.25 x 25mm long to fit the Samsung. The new TV fits perfectly on the bracket plate - except that it is not centered in the cabinet opening. It sits way too low. The arm needs to move up 4.5" or so.
I am going to do just that...move the whole bracket up on the back wall of the cabinet. That looks easier than trying to manufacture an adapter plate of plywood or metal to get the TV mounted higher so it will swivel into the cabinet opening. I hope they ran the in-wall backup plywood full height behind the cabinet back. I did a few searches to see if there were any threads with the same experience and did not find any during my 5 minute search. Oh well - only one way to find out.
I will update this thread with my results.

When I installed my bracket for our new TV, i used a stud finder to locate the studs.
Didn't have trouble finding them on all three walls. As always, i drill a very small test hole to make sure I'm into solid wood. Make sure the lag screws are not too long so you don't go all the way through the stud. I mounted the bracket to the side wall in the cabinet so it could easily swing in and out of the cabinet.

Moved the bracket up!
Well - it was surprisingly easy.
- Measured the TV and the cabinet opening to determine how much bracket needed to be raised.
- Removed all of the wood screws. Measured up 4 7/8" and drilled a new pilot hole to make it easy to get the first screw started in the right place.
- Installed the rest of the wood screws. It sure felt like all the screws hit some plywood backing in their new location. Everything tightened up nicely.
- Mounted the TV on the arm plate and tightened the screws. Done.

I guess mine was rather simple, due to mine having the desk and the hidden motorized TV. The swap was very simple. I'm actually glad I went behind and saw how it was all put together. All the factory hardware holding the TV in place was all loose and the wiring looked like a pre-schooler put it together. If you ever look at the wiring on a boat, it is very neat, cut to the appropriate length, and able to withstand the constant jarring, which RV builders seem to agree, is not required
