Bought one when I got a SOB 5th wheel in 2005. Used it all the time and was happy with it. The rig had no leveler system, just the landing gear and two rear crank down stabilizers. Its an aluminum model so its relatively light. Since purchasing the Montana, I have not used it in 5 years. Tried selling it cheap, no takers. After reading various posts about modifications, I think I will disassemble the tripod and make something more useful out of it. Beats just tossing it.

We fortunately have the washer/dryer at the entrance over the axle so it is no benefit on our trailer to stabili,e the cab. I think I will make it a yard ornament, pending my wife's approval.

Tri-Pods work good for holding Xmas Lites. Almost like a fake tree.

Neighbor at the campground up at the refinery was moving on to another job and asked if I wanted his. I looked at it and said No thanks.
He moved out and just left it laying there. So I looked at it one weekend and thought I'd try it out. I had cracked my head pretty good on the pinbox and figured it would keep me from doing that again.
Almost broke my back carrying it over. Got it unfolded. Didn't reach. Looked like a really good way to break or lose some fingers so I took it back.

Tripod
Charlie, I had the 2013 FB3900. In the nose of the bathroom we installed a washer and dryer. When the washer spun dry, the entire 5th wheel would shake terrible. The tripod cut the shaking down by half. You have to keep in mind the weight of the washer and dryer in the bitter front with no support over it.
