Montana Mountaineer RV Cover
Hello all,
We have a 2011 326 RLT Montana and I want to purchase an RV cover that sheds rain, etc. I want to build a cover in the future but finances do not allow at this time. Any thoughts on a good quality cover?
Please share your thoughts and have a great week.

Don't cover it. The camper is better off in the weather than under a cover. I know people like them but I will never cover mine again. I covered ours for one winter and regretted it. The cover and lack of air circulation caused me problems with the roof and fiberglass. Build your roof as soon as you're able and until then, keep it uncovered. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the info. I was curious if covering would cause possible issues and this puts that to rest. I plan to build a shed sometime soon as weather allows but figured it'd be more like spring until I could get started.
Thanks again

A cover also makes easy entrance for critters. A trailer we had years ago had never had mice in it until the fourth winter when I put a cover on it. I walked over to it one time and could see 2 mice crawling up the inside of the cover. It gave them a pathway to the fridge and furnace louvers and the top exhaust outlet and they were very happy to use it.

Before we went full time our first Monty spent winters in the Kansas cold, wind and snow without a cover and was in fine shape when we traded it in 7 years and 70,000 miles later. No need to add an extra that could result in issues, including scratching the paint.

Like others tried using a cover years ago, more trouble than they are worth.

Now that's a cover I could live with.
