I just purchased this program last month. Just finished loading our next trip of 55 days and 17 stops. So far I’m impressed with all the available info at one place. Try the demo to see what you think. You can put your mpg average and height and cost for averaging also. No regrets yet.

I’ve been happy with the trip planner that is on the Good Sam site. Don’t use it often enough to need a different one.

Does this need internet access to work? I use a very old program but I don't need the internet. That way I can use it when the net is down or I don't have access.

Using RV Trip Wizard
This is my second year of using it. I use it to plan my trips and I download it to my Garmin. While traveling, my Garmin will alert me on travel delays and if you have to take a detour, it could pose a problem. Hopefully, I can pull up the Trip Wizard on my phone to check my detour, but that requires cell service. I haven't gone very far (less than 400 miles one way) yet for trip yet, but it's worked well for me so far. Now, with my membership, it gets free access to RV Life. Not sure if that would be beneficial to you.

It is a hosted web based application and an active internet connection is required for access.

It needs internet access. However you can download the route to a Garmin. $40 a year subscription seems a bit high to me. That works out to about $10.00 per trip where I would use it. I would need to be on the road a lot more to justify the cost. Even then it seems a bit pricey.

I have used it for two years and find it most helpful planning long trips. Using one app that lets me check campground reviews, and set subscribed campgrounds preferred (thousand trails, passport America, goodsam, etc.) is a time saver. We have internet most of the time so using it when we need to is not a problem.

I use Trip Wizard as well and have used many others... interesting factoid:RV Trip Wizard was acquired by this (MOC) forums owner a few years ago and has been in steady update mode ever since. it's come a long way in a short while.
The database of parks is enormous and driven by the data from campgroundreviews.com. There is a brand new (a day ago) update to use RV safe routing to avoid parkways and propane restricted tunnels as well as unpaved roads (if you want).
Also new with todays release is that it can sync with the RVLife app. The RVLife app is free (although it has some premium-paid options to download maps and park info for offline use) and is essentially the mobile version of Campgroundreviews.com. Now, if you have the app installed, you can access your Trip Wizard trips while on the road more easily. Trip wizard has a steep learning curve - it does a lot but it also takes some time to get comfortable configuring trips; it's not for everyone.
^ all of that reads like a commercial but it's pretty good and getting better every day. It's not perfect yet, but it's nice to know that real RVers are developing the platform.
here's a link to the newest features tour:

Geez - thanks for all the info! I've enjoyed the recent changes and ease of getting to site websites - currently using it for Nat Rally trip - estimate 4k miles and 40+ days so far - so to all those involved - thank you for GOOD work - maybe we could have an official or unofficial RV training session during rally … food for thought

It is the best I've ever used! And, they just introduced a new set of features including RV Friendly routing and avoiding propane restricted roads.
Let me say again - It is the best I've ever used!

Using it now for an Idaho to NC trip planner. Works great for planning and reservations. The features were overdue. We use Ford sync GPS along with Google and it matches the planned routes pretty well. Worth the cost over good sam.

I had a 4 month trip to Alaska saved on the GS trip planner, it was a work in progress as we aren’t going until 2020.
Went to do some updates and it was gone! There was a message that they were changing to a different platform and were sorry for the inconvenience. At least I had some notes but not all the stops or mileage information,

My wife has been using for the past two years, and loves it. Yes there is a fee, but it is a great planning tool. we think its a great investment.

Does it care for low bridges and weight restrictions
Watched the YouTube video and it seems like a nice planning tool. Especially since GoodSams removed their old tool for a much less useful product. My concern is that it utilizes Google maps and i do not believe it takes into consideration, height and weight. Has anyone using it for mapping run into issue? Seems expensive for just a planning tool.
Thanks,
