I’m not the overload police but if your headlights are pointing to the sky it probably means you are overloaded!

The Timbrens work great. I've used them in the past on work trucks and vans. Recommended to a friend for his 2500 Chevy/5th wheel and he loves them as well.
They are exactly what your searching for.

headlights aimed high is not necessarily an issue with being over weight - I have an F450 and my unit has a pin weight of 2500 pds more or less (depending on water on board). I am approximately 1000 pounds shy of my weight allowance but with the 'soft' springs (it rides like a tank when unloaded LOL ), it still drops about an inch - just enough that I get oncoming traffic blinking at me.

There is a reason the frame, axles and brakes are bigger on 1 ton trucks. Suspension upgrades will not help that. Guess I’m from the better to be safe than sorry...small investment to not wake up dead.

The frame and the brakes are NOT bigger on a 1 ton than they are on a 3/4 ton. The axles are bigger on a 1 ton, but I haven't heard of anyone breaking an axle on a 3/4 ton. But yes a 1 ton dually is better for towing most heavily loaded Montanas.

My 14 Mountaineer DBQ345 has a pin weight of 2250 and my 2017 F350 DRW sets flat when I’m hooked up.

Frame, brakes, differential on my 2017 F350 DRW are all bigger than what my 2011 F250. Much heavier construction.

I put SumoSprings on my RAM 2500, not to level, as it sits level with the Monty hitched... I got them to "smooth" out some of the road bumps... seems to have a noticeable effect

I’d be willing to bet their even bigger than what’s SRW 1 ton. My 2015 &250 has the same brakes. Springs and, axle as a F350 SRW. Comparing a DRW and SRW is like apples and oranges.

If you have the factory row package with overload springs, check out SuperSpings SSS-3. Works great, just engauges the factory overload sooner. Back used to sag 3 1/2 inches. Now drops 1 inch. Rig rides great when loaded. Headlights are properly aimed.

Air Lyft
I use Air Lyft air bags and they have done the job and we have not found the ride too harsh.Very happy with them. Reduce air when not carrying the RV.

OP updated his signature. His unloaded pin weight pretty much equals his towing capacity. LOL we need more

I have tried timbrens, I found the ride too rough, when loaded. I used air bags and a hello-wig anti sway bar. It smoothed the ride and got rid of the roll you find in a cross wind which was the most disconcerting. That was on a 2500. I now have. 3500, No bags but I did put the sway bar on it.

I installed Air Lift's a few years ago on my '05 Chevy Duramax DRW K3500 (manual inflation which allowed leveling side to side). They leveled the load while towing which is what I wanted. We have a 2015 Montana 3610RL and with an older truck put a pretty good strain on it and I knew we would have to upgrade sooner than later. Which we just did with more than we really needed, but we have a place to store it and the price was a smokin' deal from a friend; 2010 Freightliner 33,000 GCWR - issue solved.

Hubby Ted wants to install Firestone air bags on our '16 RAM 2500, because the truck squats about an inch when hooked up to the 3160RL. I've learned I don't need to bring the "kitchen sink" when we travel. Truck pulls and rides great with Monty attached; wind gusts & pot holes don't affect the ride. I like the way the truck rides & pulls without air bags. My question, with air bags on truck and no load on or in the truck, will truck ride stiffer or have more bounce or feel more pot holes?

Our 08 F-350 Dually was ordered with heavy duty suspension, Snow plow package, camper package and we added air bags to level the rig all of which adds to a less than smooth ride when towing. It rides.... well like a truck.
When not towing the truck still rides well like a truck. We have the Honda 4 wheeler for a smooth ride.

Don't know about the firestone's, but with the airlift 5000's you can run without any air, although they recommend 5lbs when empty. I run 7 or 8 in mine, just to cover any leakage between trips, and don't feel any difference.
