Some just don’t understand how the dual rear wheels on the dually make a big difference.There is no sway like single wheels.The dually is like your on a track very stable and planted.
So many 250’s risking towing overweight and short beds also.Spending money on a nice well built rv then foolishly ignorant to weight restrictions of the tow vehicle.

This is such a crazy topic.
First a F250 only comes in a 10,000 payload.
However a F350 comes in both a 10,000 and a 11,500 payload SRW
Then you have the F350 Drw which can carry 18,000 according to the 19 chart.

I do not know anything about anything . When we purchased our Truck and Montana we made sure the truck was within all specs to pull the Montana.It just seemed to make sense to do that. We have a Ford, LB,CC dually, diesel.

Heck, I think we should all save ourselves money and just use 150 and 1500 TVs, sure would have saved me money and would be much handier getting the groceries.
Everybody talks about insurance, just remember after your insurance settles, then the Civil Suit will start and you're on your own, even if you're all legal and within all specs, if the injured party doesn't like the insurance settlement there's Civil Court.

This is why I tow with HDT Volvo 780 know one can tell me I need a bigger truck to pull my trailer.

Got tired of the writings of the weight police and listening to my wife at the dinner table ( she is long time insurance agent ) so I went out and bought a new dually to replace the SRW 350. Now she`s happy and we can talk about other things.
According to my wife post 53 is 100% true and correct. She says ,yes we will pay the accident claim on a over loaded tow vehicle and related damage to other peoples vehicles or properly because of your negligence or stupidity UP TO THE LIMITS OF YOUR POICY then it goes under the victims "under insured" insurance part of THEIR policy up to the limits of their policy then when this dose not cover the expenses of having to re-do her newly styled hair-do they will take you to civil court and clean your clock.
Just think of the O.J. trial, found not guilty " if the glove doesn`t fit you must acquit " but then taken to civil court and found guilty for millions of dollars in a wrong full death case.
Roll the dice and see how they land it`s your call, be happy
Waiting to cross the river, saw this and went down and looked. A 3 axle TH pulled by a SRW 250 gas Ford. She said we need to try and get off before them so the accident doesn`t slow us up.

That has been mentioned here many times before that the sticker on the trailer means nothing but thats not true. If you have to go by the sticker on the truck than it stands to reason the sticker on the trailer is also correct. Now how the trailer gets those max towing numbers is a mystery to me. However if a cop rolls up on a accident and sees a 40' 5th wheel behind a f250 SRW he may check the stickers but they are not going to drag out the scale and start weighing stuff. They are going to read the sticker from the manufacturer. It makes sense to me that towing correct is the best way. I also believe selecting the correct truck is important. But just remember every truck is different depending on trim levels so the numbers from the dealer are misleading. You need to use the yellow sticker in the door only and not the numbers in the brochure. Those are just guidelines. I do however believe you should use the numbers on the sticker on the trailer for correct weights.

Is like to have a DW like that and my neighbors would talk when I put that Duelie in front of my fancy condo! Lol
The 6.2 actually has more payload right than the diesel and I’m sure he had to stiffin up that rear end a bit. I was at a Camping World recently and the same thing nearly as you, a 42 foot camper on an F250 with an Anderson hitch and since my niece says I’m aggressively friendly, meaning I really like other campers, I moseyed over and had a great conversation with the logic of buying a new F250 and that trailer.
Well he bought the truck before the camper of course but he had done some upgrades with Anderson hitch and some suspension improvements with the 6.2L and I asked if he’d ever weighed it and the answer was nope. And then we talked about how the truck towed and handled, and it was a gorgeous Ford. He had been all over eastern US with no problems, no problems on Jellico Mountain and they were both well pleased, the truck was nicely level maybe an inch high, no plans to upgrade the vehicle.
Tires looked fine on both vehicles and he takes his time drivin.
So empirical evidence it works. The new trucks are in a different class of stability.
