3121 Height ?
Hi
i am wondering if there are any 3121RL owners out there that could give the exact over all height of a 3121 with out the front AC. I know what the manufactures web sites say and what different RV dealer sites say. but i am hoping someone could give me the exact height of their unit sitting on a level floor. meaning from floor to the highest part of the roof in front.
Thanks
Mike T

I don’t think anyone can give what you are looking for. If you wont the dimension hooked to your truck everybody’s truck and hitch is different. The height of the truck bed and hitch varies with each truck and hitch. With out being hitched their camper would haft to be perfectly level. Even out a quarter bubble would make I big difference in twenty feet or so.

I have the 3121RL but can't tell you what my height is. I also have the front A/C. I would suggest to get a 2x4x8 stud and a 2 or 4 foot level, using a 10 foot step ladder or a 12 foot extension ladder, place the stud, with the level taped to it, on the highest point on your roof, and read the distance to the ground. A helper makes this much easier. One note, when making the measurement you need to take it from the tallest point on your roof, i.e. vents, skylight, etc. if you are looking for road clearance. Hope this helps.

Thanks however i am looking for the measurement with the fifth wheel setting level on the cement or pad. which is the way all hitches should be set up so that the unit is towing level or close to it..

Wyatt Earp i do not have a 3121rl yet but hope to purchase one in the near future. taking the measurement like you suggested is what i am looking for but i am only concerned about the highest point of the unit it's self. i will need to get the unit in a barn with a 13' door and will take off the front AC or vents if necessary to get it in the barn. perhaps if you could just measure yours from the highest point on the side wall to the floor it would help me a lot.

it is a 'standard' height, why are you looking at this as part of your decision making?
Somewhere around 13-6 or less, look at specs.

I recently bought a 3121RL I was told 13'6" but I would measure it when it is hook up to the truck it might be higher.

Our unit is 13' 3" and I also put it in a barn with a 13' door opening. Mine will go in with less than an inch clearance because the rear wheels of the truck are on grass which is slightly lower than the concrete floor of the barn when the front A/C passes through. The first time I put mine in I had a spotter on a ladder watching as I eased it in. It may be easier to lower your tire pressure and get the clearance you need instead of removing the A/C shroud. Good luck.

Our 3121RL measures 13' 4" at its highest point (top of the front A/C) hooked to the truck. Our door opening is 13' 6". Had to have the garage door guy adjust the door travel when we got the Montana because the door was not going all the way up. The original opening was fine for SOB.

For RVs, wherever or whichever you buy, don't be afraid to start your negotiations at 35% below actual MSRP; you can always counter-offer.

LOL pretty hard to make a unit that's 13' 4'' fit threw a 13' door unless you are going fast enough.

So true I tried to get a 13’3” rig under a 12’8” bridge. Got most of it though. Does not look good on my resume.
