Shoutout to Lippert Components

I just want to give a shoutout to Lippert Components for good service and standing behind their products/repairs.

I had a Hydraulic Ram replaced on a slide in Sep-2016 as a result of the Rally tech visit to resolve a creeping slide. Off and on since then, I have had a minor hydraulic fluid leak in the repair area but seeing it was relatively minor, thought it might have been some residual fluid that got onto the underbelly just seeping out. On our first outing this spring, we saw more fluid and I noticed my fluid tank dropped ~1/4" I called Lippert and opened a case and went in for an appointment. After inspecting the system they said the Ram was leaking again. Even though it was out of warranty, they replaced it as a goodwill gesture. While I am not happy about the failures, they have stood by their product and worked to make it good which is rare these days.

Also as a note, they said the new ram is a revised design from the one they are replacing though the techs didn't know much detail on the change beyond it is now .aluminum unit vs steel. Time will tell.

Was that lippert direct, or was the actual work done by your dealer? Great support either way.

This was work done directly at Lippert's Service Center in Goshen IN.

Ironically, the various RV suppliers and factories and their service centers are closer to me than any Montana dealer - just not always easy to get into as they often focus on working on "manufacturing defects" and issues sent to them from the trailer manufacturers

Different issue but similar thread, service and outcome. They did right by me and I was eager to share the positive news hoping it will travel as fast as bad stories tend to on this forum. Thanks for sharing.

It is always refreshing to experience or hear of manufactures standing behind their products.
As for me I just noticed my level up ram by the door appears to be leaking fluid. There is a oil stain on the concrete and the ram body and cylinder are cover with oily dust. Looks like I might get to talk to Lippert myself.

2nd shout out to Lippert

We where stuck in Indiana last year on a Friday am with our landing gear not working. We called Lippert tech support and they offered to help us get on the road. They looked at our landing gear, replaced parts, worked through lunch, and got us back on the road. They where amazing to us also! Great company.
