remove clothes hamper from front closet
Have any of you all removed the clothes hamper in the front closet of your Montana? Ours is a 2014 3155rl model.....what is involved in removing the hamper/cabinet and is the wall behind it finished as well as the carpet beneath it? Thank you

Interested in what info you get, we have the same thing, 2014 3155rl and the clothes hamper, jewelry box thing in the closet seems like a waste of good space.

I hope we can get some info....I may call Keystone and see what they say about it. We would like to take it out and maybe put a clothes washer (no dryer) in it's place. I will post if I find out any useful info...thanks

I don't know about your certain models but some units, and I can't remember which ones, had the washer/dryer combo in that place if you removed the hamper. We have a 2013 unit but it has the 2014 interior. Our washer/dryer hookup is in the entry closet. I have not removed ours but I think there have been posts on this very subject of removing it. I think the unit is just screwed to the front wall if I'm not mistaken. You can remove the hamper drawer by lifting it out and you can see what is behind it and if Keystone used brackets or whatever to hold the unit in. I'm pretty sure the wall is totally carpeted across the whole front. Now you have my curiosity aroused and I will have to go out and check this out when I'm back out to the farm again. Thanks for the post however!

we just removed the hamper and put a shelf in place of it. never even changed the handle. works well.
we put a hamper on the right side of the 'hamper' on the closet floor.

Get a Splendide and one unit washes and dries. We've had two, they take a bit longer to dry than separate washers and dryers, but work fine.
