Disappointed in 2018
I recently joined the forum as I was planning to purchase a 3721rl Legacy within a month after 2 years and 2 factory tours of research. We just went through a 2018 and am very disappointed. What is with the greyish color of the cheap looking wood? Obvious nail/staple holes filled in with off color? Missing shelving in the bedroom? Wall material? Whats with the missing light fixture over the table? Looks like a lower end River Forest product. If you were trying to keep the unit in the same price range, bad move, you should have raised the price a little and kept the quality. If it had the same interior as last year we would have bought it. As it is, we will be buying a competitor in the same price range with equal equipment all around. However they have very nice cherry wood with excellent fit and finish.

Sorry they didn't produce what you want, but best of luck with your new rig. Can't speak for the cabinetry, but we wouldn't have bought our 2017 with the lamp over the table. You had to turn it on from the back and my wife wouldn't have been able to reach. The recessed ones on our new rig have a switch on the wall.

We have been in our 2018 3791RD for 2 weeks today and couldn't be happier with everything. We like the look of the new wood and haven't experienced any of the issues you listed. We also would not have liked a lamp over the table for the same reason as DQDICK. I have been over this unit with a flashlight and a fine tooth comb and have found no problems with fit/finish or anything else. We are full-time and have been for 7 years and this is our 3rd new Montana so this is not our first rodeo. No one is pulling the wool over our eyes.

Sorry the new 3721 did not live up to your expectations.
We also were so very pleased to get rid of that overhead dining lamp in favour of recessed led lighting.
Can't speak to a different color of wood as we have not seen a 2018 yet.

Are you sure the 2018 was the Legacy package? There is a difference in the inside wood.

Have the 2018.5 3791RD now and it came with the gray-brown wood colors. Really the only things we don`t like are the placement of some of the light switches (3` down the wall after you enter the bedroom? you have to walk to the other side of the living room for the living room ceiling lights, the wood headers above each side in the living room have 50 to 53 nails in them each, I counted and it looks bad even filled with colored putty. Three pin head screws would have accomplished the same thing. A couple of other things I would have fired the guy for but all and all we like this beast.

Just gotta add my 2 cents..... Looked at a few Montanas last week. Pretty disappointing finish work regarding nail heads and 'putty' (or whatever) to the fill in the holes they made. Wrong color, filler smeared over wood (and fake wood), especially bad/obvious on some of the black wood trim. Not a show stopper for purchase consideration but ya think maybe someone back at the plant could take a bit more care.
