Wireless backup camera
I know the best scenario for a backup cameras is to be hardwired. That's not going to happen, therefore; it will be "wireless". After researching RV wireless backup cameras for our unit, I'm leaning on purchasing one from either Tadibrothers or one from Rear View Safety. Both have good reviews and very similar in design and feature a large 7 inch LCD capable split screen and claim to have ranges over 70 ft. I do know that the Rear View Safety is exclusively used by many of the RV manufacturers, but they're primarily used in motor coaches and are "hardwired" not "wireless". I've also looked at the Furrion cameras, but their monitor is only about 4.3 inches making it hard to visualize much. I welcome input from anyone who's had some experience with these. Thanks

I have a Furrion and it is good! I thought I needed side cameras but this one has a wide angle camera. I have heard really good things about the TADI Brothers as well. Do not buy any cheap Chinese junk for Amazon or Ebay most cameras are not weather tight and fail quickly.

Our Furrion works fine. If you consider them, there are two models. One is for back up only. You want the observation camera for using it down the road.

It's a rear view safety hardwired system here that works excellent.
Previously had their wireless system with lots of interference and poor results.

I have bought from Tadibrothers. I bought a backup camera. I called and wonted better transmitter and receiver, no charge. I needed a extension cable, no charge. Then I broke one of the antenna. I called and told them I broke it and again no charge.

I have the Tadi brothers unit. I first tried to go the wireless but it was way to grainy and hit and miss signal. I switched it to hard wire and everything is fine. Doing this made all the difference. If I was doing it again I would buy each piece separately after doing a little more research. I like the back up camera for the truck that I bought off Amazon for about $23 and make a mounting bracket for it.

I was a trucker for 20 years and logged 3,000,000 + safe miles and never saw a need for a rear view camera. If a driver scans their mirrors like they should while driving down the highway and properly evaluates a site before backing in it they will already know what is back there. Just my 2 cents worth. Now you all can go ahead and chew me out.

tadi brothres wireless camera for us. we like the bigger monitor it is wireless and i wired into the clearnace lights in the back and just run the tow vehicle park lights to power it. it is great for driving down the road and viewing what is behind us. had it for 2 yrs now and no problems. some slight interferance in and around a lot of buildings but normally not a problem, just recently added a 3 seater jetski inheritted from my father in law and the camera now lets me see how the sea doo is doing when we tow.

I put a Furrion on. It works well; however, I don't use it. The monitor is small and distracting along side my GPS. I'm more comfortable with my mirrors....

Furrion monitors are too small and they know it, because they're going to be making a larger screen which will be available next spring '17. Having dealer install wireless TadiBrothers with 7 inch monitor. I'll let you know how well it works in a couple of weeks when we pick it up.

With all the info centers in these new truck, I'm suprised nobody as offer up a unit that is blue tooth compatible with the already available unit in the TV.

oschavez4, you need this:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B010XWNFOM...oding=UTF8&me=
It comes with the mount for the back of the trailer, but the package that doesn't include the mount is more expensive. Go figure...
I didn't find the screen to be too small. If anything it seemed too big to me. Took up some real estate on the dash. Finally figured to mount it on the rearview mirror, since that wasn't being used with the trailer hooked up. I did mount it at the far end of the mirror, so I can at least see the hitch in the mirror still.
You can use a velcro strap. I ended up getting two adjustable clamp type mounts and epoxied them together so that one clamp holds on to the mirror and one holds on to the monitor.

I recently installed a TadiBrothers wireless camera/monitor combo (~$225) on my 2013 31' Hi Country, and it seems to work well. I wired into the top center rear light which allows me to leave the daytime running lights on w/o operating the camera, and wired the monitor into one of the utility switches on my F250, which allows me to switch both on only when I want them. I only use the camera when backing into tight spaces, but can use on the road if desired.
